We've now enabled scraper deterrance mode. This mode is just for web pages and should theoretically help stop various crawlers from scraping aggressively.

Our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy are mainly adapted from vmst.io's TOS and Privacy Policy. In the disclaimer, I emphasized the data dissemination nature of the Fediverse as a decentralized network and also added dispute resolution clauses to avoid getting caught up in lawsuits as much as possible.
For the user guide, I put together an introduction to the Fediverse using information I gathered. I also referenced the official GoToSocial documentation's user guides section, making some adjustments to fit our instance.

A quick reminder for other #GoToSocial admins using snapshot builds: if you're using PostgreSQL, please consider not updating to d8113c1 for now as the db migration is likely incompatible with PostgreSQL. Keep an eye on Issue #3880 for updates on the fix.

Load emoji lists without authentication. This might be super helpful if you're using clients like Moshidon that don't send auth info when requesting emoji lists.
These have actually been live for a while now, since we’ve been following the main branch with backup configured as safeguards. I'm just summarizing them a bit.
Users, I’ve got scheduled maintenance coming up on January 31, 2026, which is expected to last about 8 to 12 hours.
Our media storage provider is doing some major upgrades, during which you won’t be able to upload new media or view existing files during this window. Also, new media from external instances will appear as simple hyperlinks instead of previews, and there's a chance the entire instance might go offline.
Things will be back to normal as soon as the work is done. I'll provide more detail later.
