For those who want to use #Hollo on @ivory: #Ivory evolved from the Tweetbot codebase, which was a third-party Twitter client, so it assumes that object IDs are integers. Hollo uses UUIDs for object IDs, so it can't be used with Ivory at this time. We hope that Ivory will support non-integer object IDs in the future!

I’m attempting to troubleshoot #Ivory when used with #snac2 where the app crashes when attempting to load in certain bits of data (seems like some hashtags perhaps, or the data the hashtags lead to). Ivory logs a crash mentioning something about “serverFilters” or “imageIndex”. Like when I try to view the StarTrek tag something it tries to pull in crashes the app hard.

Now I’m just trying to find a specific post that will do it so maybe I can actually figure out what exactly is going wrong.

I finally got #snac2 working with #Ivory and my this particular account. It’s strange, I think I’ve narrowed the crash down to an issue with the way ActivityPub relays work in snac2. If there is a single boosted post in my timeline when Ivory pulls the data, it crashes instantly.

I’m curious if the quote boost mechanism in #ivory is a custom implementation before the official functionality was added? Been avoiding using it not knowing how it behaved relative to the official rollout in recent months at the protocol level. @ivory

I use #Ivory as my Mastodon client for iOS. It’s got a clean UI, and is generally perfect for my (not too intense) Mastodon browsing and posting.
I *just* noticed the custom emojis that are included with the app, and I have to say, I’m pleasantly surprised to have custom blahaj emotes! Thanks @ivory !
