Please forgive me for temporarily totally losing my cool. I just learned through the Dutch Haiku Association that my haiku got an honourable mention in the 7th Basho-an International English Competition 2024! Getting such recognition in Japan is one of my ultimate 'WOW'- moments!😄

Okay, so it is official now. My poem 'Kiss' won fourth prize, and my poem 'Soap' won a Judge's choice award in the Ontario Poetry Society Ultrashort poetry competition. Very happy with this.
