It's set it to "name your own price" but as this is my only source of income, paying is greatly appreciated. This marks the first time I've ever done vocals for Convair and my first-ever post-transition vocals nonetheless. It also marks a return to studio tracks with things like drums and bass. Was thinking about "songs that formed me" (h/t @Waitnwallflower) and I realized I missed one of my biggest ones: "Sweetness and Light" by Lush.
Here I am, college student, 1990 or so, friend has MTV, and this song blasts out. I fell in love instantly. Cannot explain it but every single part of this song hit perfectly. And it still does, even after a ridiculously long time.
I'm so glad that Miki Berenyi and Emma Anderson are both still making music. Cheers to both of them, and a hat tip to the late Chris Acland as well.
