This is something discussions on #Spotify tend to miss: most alternatives are corporate services that are not immune to #enshittification
@mirlo thinks #federation is the answer:
“We’re trying to federate #music marketplaces and music distribution platforms (..) if the instance that hosts your music starts to do things you don’t like, you should be able to transfer your data, and not lose anything”

I know #Tidal isn't perfect (and buying physical media or band merch is better, but hey, that is situational, I will only buy an album after I already like it), but this sort of thing makes me feel vindicated in choosing not to use #Spotify.

What alternative music service can replace Spotify and its library of popular music? My kids have a few playlists that have musicians like Taylor Swift and Imagine Dragons which I could buy, but I'm curious if there really is another alternative.
Apple Music, TIDAL, etc are not the options I want to hear.

En las páginas de #RTVE me cuesta encontrar los enlaces a los RSS de los #podcast. Cada vez lo ponen más difícil para las apps libres, mientras que las plataformas como #Spotify lo tienen todo a un click.
Para remediar eso, me he hecho un listado con todos los programas y sus correspondientes enlaces. Lo cuelgo para quien le pueda servir.

Is Qobuz worth it? I know I need to get off Spotify asap but I don't have the budget to play around with lots of alternatives. I need to just find one and stick with it.

#euronews: #Spotify has been running a series of #recruitment ads for #ICE & said that the ads referring to “dangerous illegals” do not violate their advertising policy. This has prompted more & more subscribers to (further) #boycott the #streaming giant.
For us that does not comply with our #codeofconduct.
