I have three devices here: a #Tangara music player, a Punkt MP-02 phone, and a Shockz OpenMove headset. The headset is connected to both other devices.

A minute ago I was listening to music on the Tangara, and a phone call came in. The Tangara paused the music when I answered the call, the headset seamlessly switched to the call, and when I hung up it switched back to the music. Three devices from different companies orchestrated this amongst themselves.

Bluetooth is 27 years old and this is the first time it's ever behaved as advertised!

I spent time over the weekend with my #Tangara, and have written up my first impressions. Did I love it? Hate it? You'll have to read for the details - but the TL;DR is that it's a cool device that falls short and isn't quite ready for prime time.

this feels weird to explicitly ask, but if you've had a positive experience with ur #tangara can you get in the comments? it's hard to keep my head in a good place when i'm struggling financially and yet still spending a large chunk of my time assembling units and responding to issues/emails and so much of what i see about it is where it's gone wrong or someone is unhappy. some positivity could really help me rn i think.

Known Bluetooth devices being forgotten on device.

I don’t understand why the #tangara appears to cost around $250. That seems a bit high given today’s cheap electronics components (ESP32, 3D printed case, PCB, …). Am I missing something perhaps?

Actually, in regards to this, has anyone used a FAKE_POD_NANO that could give me some tips? I woulda waited for the Tangara to be available again but my old Rockboxed Shanling Q1 recently broke beyond repair and I needed something sooner.

The Fakepod looks COOL AS HELL but I can't read the docs lol. It hasn't arrived yet, I don't know what to expect 😅
