#RoadSafety in the #UK: My wife keeps telling me that it could be improved if insurance was linked only to the car, not to specific drivers - because if you're unwell, tired, drunk etc you could hand over your keys to somebody else who is fit to drive. Perfectly possible in Germany, but in the UK apparently the driver has to be named in the insurance document. Any clues why this isn't considered? (we 've never owned a car so have very little practical experience of the issue) #UKpolitics

The new process for signing up for verification calls uses sign in with Mastodon and should remove the last remaining technical hurdle that was giving some of our friends in Gaza a hard time (adding the verification link to your Mastodon account is not intuitive in the current Mastodon interface). With this new flow, you won’t have to, we do it for you.
Also, please remember that Israel, USA, and Germany are continuing their genocide of the Palestinian people with the complicity of the UK and almost the entire rest of the EU.

In the #UK, you can now be arrested simply for wearing a Star of David necklace.
Of course they will deny it happened and try to gaslight and obfuscate. That’s the natural response to being called out. But we can all watch the video of the detctive grilling him about this, and it’s in a wider context of similar incidents.
