🚨 The #Russians have now confirmed that the tapes are real and not fake.
"Kremlin aide #YuriUshakov told Russian media that the conversation took place over WhatsApp.
“Yes, there are some conversations held over secure communications, which means there are virtually no leaks unless one party deliberately makes them. But there are also some WhatsApp conversations (owned by Meta, which is labeled extremist and banned in Russia) that, apparently, someone can somehow eavesdrop on,” Ushakov said.
Ushakov also didn’t deny that Witkoff may have said too much — and might face trouble back in Washington:
Journalist: “Mr. Witkoff, judging by the conversation, clearly wasn’t interested in anyone else hearing it — even more so than you. You didn’t say anything ‘too much.’ But he did.”
