Limited edition deluxe two disc (CD + PAL/Region 2 DVD) individually numbered pressing of their 2008 album contains the album, a DVD including two films plus the banned video to the track 'Gobbledigook' (nominated for Video of the Year), a 196-page hardcover cloth-bound book of photographs shot by Eva Vermandel and a unique strip of 16mm film from the 'Gobbledigook' video shoot specially mounted within the front cover of the book! Von Brigði is a remix album of Icelandic band Sigur Rós' first album, Von. It was released in 1998 on Smekkleysa Records, and continues to be available only in Iceland or through the band's online store. An LP, containing four tracks from the album, was also released, though only 100 copies of this green-colored vinyl edition were made.
Von Brigði's title is a word play. The word "Von Brigði" means "disappointment", but split in two it translates as "variations on Von", "Von Brigði" meaning "variation". A full translation into English would result in "hope variation".
The last song on the album is a song by Sigur Rós which the band meant to go on Von, but couldn't be finished in time.

UK digipak pressing. Written for octogenarian US choreographer Merce Cunningham's Dance Company's 50th gala performance, Ba Ba Ti Ki Di Do is 20-minutes plus of new instrumental music based around music-box piano lines, percussive sounds derived from ballet shoes and the fractured syllables and tap dancing feet of Merce Cunningham himself. Ba Ba Ti Ki Di Do includes three separate tracks, respectively 'Ba Ba', 'Ti Ki' and, yes, 'Di Do'. In the spirit of the commission, these were initially written to be played in any order, but, having lived with them, the band like it best when they occur in the sequence presented here.

Takk... is the fourth studio album by the Icelandic post-rock band Sigur Rós, first released in the United States by Geffen Records on 12 September 2005. The album debuted at number 27 on the US Billboard 200, selling 30,000 copies in its first week.

A brand new and a very special project by Sigur Rós, which is a 3000 limited version of Hlemmur the documentary and soundtrack. It it the dvd and soundtrack in one very special packing. Here is a brief description: "It comes as a hessian covered hardback measuring 20 x 17cm, with a cute inset plate and the word 'Hlemmur' subtlely debossed into the front cover.
Each copy is individually stamped and numbered 1 - 3,000, and contains 48 pages of beautifully reproduced pencil drawings by members of Sigur Ros. There is no text, save for track-listings and minimal spine information. A CD of the full musical score comes in a pochette on the inside front cover, while the DVD of the documentary is likewise housed in the inside back cover."

The 2nd single from the album `Takk...`. 'Hoppipolla' comes backed with two b-sides, one being a brand new studio version of 'Hafsol' (original appeared on their sought after and very limited debut album 'Von' -'98).

November 5 sees Sigur Rós release a 2 CD set featuring all-new recordings titled "Hvarf - Heim". The album has two titles because it is in effect two separate, but complementary, entities with two front covers and is issued as a limited edition run of two discs. Open it one way and it's "Hvarf" ("disappeared" or "haven") a five track electric studio record comprising mainly unreleased rarities from Sigur Rós's back-pages, none of which features on "Heima" (the double DVD release issued on the same day). It features three previously unreleased songs (Salka, Hljómalind and Í Gær) alongside radical re-workings of two tracks from their debut album "Von". Open it the other way and it's "Heim" ("home"), a six track live acoustic record, comprising delicate new unplugged versions of some of Sigur Rós's finest moments, which have never been performed in this way before. The band were originally planning to release a more traditional live album to go with the "Heima" tour film, but instead decided upon "Hvarf-Heim" - infinitely more stimulating and exciting than some "will-this-do?" toss-offs of songs they honed to perfection in the studio aeons ago. Hljómalind / Starálfur is released as a limited edition double A-side 7" vinyl single on October 22 as a taster for the album release, but also to celebrate the UK Premiere of the "Heima" film which is on October 24 as part of the BBC's Electric Proms.
