《脊椎动物比较解剖学》第一版。程红曾是我的研究生,毕业后长期在动物形态学领域从事教学和科研工作,并到国外研修。《脊椎动物比较解剖学》第二版是在她的倡议并作了大量前期工作才得以启动的。另外,她接替我讲授本课的多年经验和收集的同学反馈意见,都为《脊椎动物比较解剖学》的修订作了铺垫。《脊椎动物比较解剖学》新增加了第三作者姚锦仙,她对第三章脊椎动物的胚胎发生和发育以及第十五章内分泌系统的内容进行了修改和补充,并为骨骼系统和肌肉系统增加了人类骨骼肌肉的特点以及与生物力学相关的内容。《脊椎动物比较解剖学》统稿工作由姚锦仙负责。此外,她在为第二版的立项申请、与责任编辑的联系、补充文献资料等方面作了大量工作。
