Raphael Saadiq's The Way I See It album is satisfying for both old school heads and today's hip music buyers: his background as a musician, singer and songwriter is steeped in a love for R&B married with a commitment to making his own brand of expressive soul music. The Way I See It has the kind of smooth musical flow associated with great records made by pioneering producers at famous R&B companies like Motown, Invictus and Brunswick. From the foot-tapping opening track, "Sure Hope You Mean It" to the head-shaking reflective closer "Sometimes," Raphael delivers a present day potent ode to a bygone era. Loyal Tony! Toni! Toné! fans will particularly appreciate "100 Yard Dash," which Raphael describes as "a juke joint, Booker T.-type groove. I reflected back to my first T!T!T! albums when I was singing in a high tenor voice." Raphael grins when talking about the hypnotic "Love That Girl": "Man, that's all about the swing...the way girls swing their hips! It's the type of song that will make people move and that shuffle beat reminds me of those ladies I used to see playing drums in church!" With its Motown-flavored tambourine-featured beat, "Never Give You Up" is what Raphael calls "my three generations song. It includes C.J., this youngster from Baltimore that I'm working with and Stevie Wonder. Now comes The Way I See It, a masterful collection of new material that speaks to Raphael Saadiq's deep love for rhythm and blues.

The wait for D’Angelo’s new studio album is almost over: Black Messiah, the long-awaited follow-up to 2000’s Voodoo, will be available for purchase on iTunes beginning Midnight on Monday.
Black Messiah spans 12 tracks and includes contributions from The Roots’ Questlove, Q-Tip, and Kendra Foster (Parliament Funkadelic).
Of the album title, D’Angelo said, “For me the title is about all of us. It’s about the world. It’s about an idea we can all aspire to. We should all aspire to be a Black Messiah.”

Heinzmann started her career as singer in 2005 in a rock band called Bigfisch. In summer 2007 she applied for Raab's talent contest SSDSDSSWEMUGABRTLAD (acronym for: Stefan sucht den Superstar, der singen soll, was er m chte, und gerne auch bei RTL auftreten darf) and got selected as one of the 20 finalists. With interpretations of soul, jazz and funk classics by the likes of Macy Gray, Norah Jones and Joss Stone she reached the final show on January 10, 2008. There she finally defeated the remaining three competitors in
the televoting, winning a contract with Universal Music.
Her final song "My Man Is a Mean Man" - composed by Swedish producers Gustav Jonsson, Tommy Tysper and Marcus Sepehrmanesh - went on sale the day after the final. One week after its release the single debuted straight on top of the Swiss Singles Chart, also reaching the top 10 in Austria and Germany. "Masterplan" was released on March 7, 2008.

Maxwell's Urban Hang Suite is the debut album by American R&B singer-songwriter Maxwell. It was recorded in 1994 and 1995, then released on April 2, 1996, by Columbia Records.

Aussie version of the urban artist's 1997 companion to his acclaimed MTV appearance with one additional track, 'Till The Cops Come Knockin''. Also features his beautiful rendition of Kate Bush's 'This Woman's Work' which is exclusive to this release. Of the other tracks, it features the singles, 'Sumthin' Sumthin', 'Ascension (Don't Ever Wonder)' & 'Whenever ,Whatever, Wherever'. Another rare track is his very loose soulful take on Nine Inch Nails 'Closer', going by the title here of 'Gotta Get: Closer'. 8 tracks in all. Standard jewel case.

The Vault is a collection of 12 previously unreleased songs by Ashanti and it released by AJM Records. The album was released on October 14, 2008 as a digital download only, throughout digital music retailers such as Amazon and iTunes. So Far the Album has downloaded more than 2.1 million. The first single, "Let's Do Something Crazy", was produced by 15-year-old Miguel "Migs" Baeza and features Flo Rida. The second single, "Imagine Life", was produced by Kidd Kold, who also produced seven other tracks on the album.
