其它标题: Blubberella / 超級女英雄
It's 1940 and the German army is oozing their ickiness across the European continent, indiscriminately slaughtering thousands. On the Eastern Front, a motley group of Resistance Fighters, led by Nathaniel (Brendan Fletcher) and "Vadge" (Willam Belli), struggle valiantly against the Nazi scourge. The German army, headed by the Commandant (Michael Paré), shadow puppet master, a mad, showtunes-singing Doctor (Clint Howard), and the newly-addicted-to-blood Lieutenant (Steffen Mennekes), threatens to eradicate the Resistance. But coming to the rescue is Blubberella. Half vampire, half woman, and all trouble, Blubberella loves nothing better than killing Nazis and a substantial turkey on rye. She has moved through the centuries destroying nasties and their like while perfecting the ultimate cotton candy recipe. Blubberella and the Commandant face each other in a rail car and after a unseemly exchange of bodily fluids...

2020年5月3日 评论 a review of 超级女英雄 - Uwe Boll made a spoof of his own film all centered around a tasteless fat joke. Shot during the same time as BloodRayne : The Third Reich , I'm kind of impressed by how he managed to squeeze two movies out of one production. Piggybacking this scummy little cash-grab off of a project already in the works like he did was pretty ingenious if you think about it, as it takes legitimate cleverness to be this lazy. It's a scene-for-scene parody using the exact same locations and cast, just with a different leading lady. This must have been the easiest, cheapest thing in the world to make as all that was really required was swapping out the actresses after each take and it making use of all the same assets. I don't know how much planning actually went into the creation of this ahead of time, but if you told me everything had been made up on the spot when everybody arrived on set I'd believe you. It's that unfunny. It's like Boll went through all the work of Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer and thought "yeah, I could do worse." I consider myself an easily amused individual and I didn't laugh once. As bad as Postal was it did get to me a few times. The difference is that even at its worst someone put time and effort into creating those gags. This? This feels like random, spur of the moment improvisation from the actors saying or doing the first thing that popped into their heads with their *ahem* esteemed director interjecting regular doses of racism, misogyny, homophobia, and body shaming throughout. What's weird is that despite his best efforts Boll sort of fails to be offensive here. His use of things like black face and rape jokes are certainly awful, morally wrong, mean-spirited, and repulsive, but this isn't likely to incite the rage of today's "woke" PC culture. It's just stupid and makes him look like a real a-hole. Unless you find the simple existence of overweight and/or gay people to be the most hilarious thing of all time, odds are you won't enjoy this. It doesn't have a single redeeming aspect. I've heard people call Boll's other flicks a means of exploiting Germany's film tax break laws, but this is the first time I've felt that might be the case. This heaping pile of nothingness wasn't a product of passion or creativity that's for sure. It's so defined by greed that it makes The Emoji Movie look like it has some integrity by comparison. And don't get me started on the fact that the cast was willing to put themselves through something this demeaning on camera for a paycheck. Money really is the root of all evil.

2020年4月18日 评论 a review of 禁欲者 - Based on horrific, repulsive events that actually occurred, this was never going to be an easy watch. As a film though it didn't have to be this ugly and cold. I've seen plenty of movies that deal in the same kind of graphically harsh content. What kept me from hating a lot of those was that there some sort of message, theme, or point that elevated them above the brutality and filth. The same cannot be said for Stoic . It was definitely made with a specific purpose in mind. That being to expose the flawed nature of the prison system. The problem is that the case it presents falls apart when you consider this same kind of bullying hierarchy can be found in just about every facet of life such as the workplace, and these cruel acts are occurring in highschools across America. Perhaps then the film would have been better served as an exploration of humankind's darker nature and penchant for savagery. However, it would come up short there as well due to it's tendency to have the characters spell out their motivations and intentions through subtlety free dialog because it doesn't have enough faith in the audience to figure out that information for themselves. Because it provides me with no legitimate place to direct the anger I feel over what happened, outside of towards the individuals who actually committed these crimes that I most certainly do despise, I'm left with nothing else to do other than turn my disgust and contempt back at the movie itself. I suppose you could give it credit for bringing the situation to light, but a news article could have done that. This story did not need to be portrayed in this way. Not least of all because of the lack of depth and nuance with which it was handled.
