Locks & BME’s new album NOW was created in the final throes of Summer 2020, following months of pandemic-induced fear & isolation, the explosion of social unrest, struggle & violence in the streets, and as the certain presence of a new reality had fully settled in. Set up safely in the garden behind Chicago’s Experimental Sound Studio, the music was recorded in only a few takes, capturing the first times members of BME had ever played or sang the tunes. For Locks, the impetus was more about getting together to commune and make art than it was about producing an album. In his words: “It was about offering a new thought. It was about resisting the darkness. It was about expressing possibility. It was about asking the question, ‘Since the future has unfolded and taken a new and dangerous shape... what happens NOW?’”

Named after the theoretical breakdown of the basic elements of conscious experience, Alfa Mist's album 'Structuralism' is based around a conversation between Mist and his sister, discussing themes of debate culture and personal growth and is an intricate and profound glimpse into the East London artist's battles with self and the societal pressures that inform our own conscious experience.
'Structuralism' provides listeners a rare opportunity to disconnect from the world, and to consider their very presence in time and space. 'Mist's ability to entrance listeners into states of experiential self-reflection and contemplation oozes from this vivid, meditative jazz composition.

Ethiopian Knights is an album by American trumpeter Donald Byrd featuring performances by Byrd with Thurman Green, Harold Land, Bobby Hutcherson, Joe Sample and others, recorded for the Blue Note label in 1971.
The AllMusic review by Steve Huey awarded the album four stars and stated "Even if it isn't quite as consistent as Kofi and Electric Byrd, Ethiopian Knights is another intriguing transitional effort that deepens the portrait of Byrd the acid jazz legend"

在推出《笔直走，再左转》后不久，渡边贞夫又在纽约录制了一张唱片，名叫《地球阶梯》（“Earth step”，CD编号VERVE FORECAST 521 287-2）。此次渡边依然吹奏中高音和高音萨克管，协作的乐手则与上张唱片完全不同，包括键盘手兼打击乐手罗勃·蒙西（Rob Mounsey）、吉他手杰夫·米罗诺夫（Jeff Mironov）、打击乐手巴西里·约翰逊（Bashiri Johnson）、贝司手威尔·李（Will Lee）、鼓手斯蒂夫·盖德（Steve Gadd）等。这张唱片与前不同的是人声的使用占了一个相当重要的部分，7位歌手以不同声部、不同音色的歌唱与乐手们的精彩演奏有机地融合，甚至使这种人声也近似于乐器而俨然成为乐器音色的一个构成部分。唱片中收入乐曲11首，其中有标题曲《地球阶梯》和《梦中一夜》（“One night in a dream”）、《非洲情歌》（“Love song for Africa”）、《情侣漫步》（“Lover´s walk”）、《直到我们再相见》（“Till we meet again”）等“土”风浓郁而又新颖耐听的作品。
1998年，在日本东京，渡边贞夫又录制了一张个人唱片，取名为《维亚让多》（“VIAJANDO”，CD编号VERVE 557 859-2）。这次与渡边合作的乐手班子又是与以前迥然不同的一套人马，包括键盘手、鼓手兼打击乐手塞瑟·C·马里亚诺（Cesar C. “This album is a celebration of female courage, determination and creativity. In 2015, the Tomorrow’s Warriors commissioned me to write an extended work, to be performed by members of their Nu Civilisation Orchestra, for a concert at the Women of the World Festival, in London’s Southbank Centre, on International Women’s Day.
Whilst gathering ideas for my composition, I came across the character of Polyhymnia, the ancient Greek Muse of music, poetry and dance: a Goddess for the arts. Perhaps inspired by her, I conceived the form of a suite of movements, each dedicated to women of outstanding qualities, role models, with whom I felt a strong connection. Whereas La Saboteuse, the embodiment of my inner-destroyer and the catalyst for the creation of my last album, could be viewed as my anti-muse, maybe Polyhymnia herself became my Muse, inspiring an intense period of creativity, which resulted in the six pieces on this album.
Since its conception, composed and arranged over the six weeks leading up to the first rehearsal for the premiere, the music has evolved and expanded. Ego-Wrappin' (stylised as EGO-WRAPPIN') is a Japanese jazz and rock musical duo, composed of vocalist Yoshie Nakano and guitarist Masaki Mori. The group formed in Osaka in 1996, releasing their debut album Blue Speaker in 1998. The band gained national recognition with their cabaret and kayōkyoku inspired song "Midnight Dejavu (Shikisai no Blues)" (2000).

Stronger Than Pride is the third studio album by English band Sade. It was released by Epic Records in the United States on 5 April 1988 and in the United Kingdom on 3 May 1988.

1959年1月16日出生尼日利亚的Sade，4岁时随母亲举家迁往英国。80年代初期在圣马丁艺术学校(St. Martin's School Of Art)的求学期间，Sade组成生平的第一个乐团Arriva并尝试填词谱曲，Smooth Operator就是这个时期的作品。而后，她又加入一支八人乐团Pride，但因为唱片公司不看好他们，Sade于是退出Pride另组一支个人乐队， 在经纪人Lee Barrett的策划宣传之下，许多唱片公司都表示高度合作的意愿。最后在1984年1月Sade和CBS签下一纸合约。
