毋庸置疑挪威卑尔根New Acoustic组合Kings Of Convenience的第三张专辑《Declaration of Dependence》是叫乐迷们望穿秋水、引颈以待而来，毕竟这是他们睽违五载的回归专辑。 上次出版《Riot On An Empty Street》，已是2004年初的事了。
Eirik Glambek Bøe与Erlend Øye分道扬镳多年，人所共知是因为他们在音乐取向与兴趣上出现了分歧，于是这几年间宁可各行其是、各自各展开活动。 二人再次走在一起灌录《Declaration of Dependence》，因为他们学懂了如何去找出共悉与作出处理。
听了《Declaration of Dependence》已有一个星期了，那就俨如一张为配合今年秋日而推出的浓浓秋意专辑。 依然是很Kings Of Convenience的Acoustic-Folk唱片，淡淡然的憩静谐和情感，而且今次更整张唱片都没有用上任何鼓击。 有「21世纪Simon & Garfunkal」之称的Eirik和Erlend，开场曲〈24-25〉即展示出二人无懈可击的一高一低温婉二重唱。 今次在专辑内，还以文字剖释他们的合唱方式。
〈Rule my World〉和〈Second to Numb〉都是他们的清雅怡人小品，Bossa Nova的便有单曲〈Mrs. Cold〉和〈Freedom and its Owner〉。 而另一单曲〈Boat Behind〉和〈Peacetime Resistance〉在中提琴伴奏下则换上古雅的Chamber-Pop情怀。
可发觉《Declaration of Dependence》乃减少了以往Kings Of Convenience的温暖窝心情味，而泛着冷静的氛围，所以〈My Ship Isn't Pretty〉、〈Renegade〉、〈Power of not Knowing〉都是如斯幽悒而美丽的歌曲。
