Selected Ambient Works 85–92 is the debut album by the British electronic music artist and producer Aphex Twin, also known as Richard D. James. It was released on 9 November 1992 through Apollo Records, a subsidiary of the Belgian label R&S Records. The album consists of ambient techno James recorded on cassette as early as 1985, when he was 13–14 years old. It received widespread acclaim and entered the Dance Albums Chart at No. 6 in December 1992.

Selected Ambient Works 85–92 is considered a classic, defining work of electronica. Music journalists have credited it with expanding the scope of ambient music and introducing techno to fans of indie music. The website AllMusic described it as "a masterpiece of ambient techno".[1] Selected Ambient Works 85–92 has appeared on best-of lists; in 2012 the UK magazine Fact named it the greatest album of the 1990s.

Geogaddi is the second studio album by Scottish electronic music duo Boards of Canada, released on 18 February 2002 by Warp Records. It was recorded between 1999 and 2001 at Hexagon Sun, their Pentland Hills studio. The album was intended to be—and has been described as—darker in tone than their debut studio album Music Has the Right to Children, released in 1998.

Geogaddi received critical acclaim upon release, in addition to being acclaimed by several publications as one of the year's best albums. It was listed by music website Pitchfork as one of the best intelligent dance music albums of all time.

For the last three years Valerie Trebeljahr has been quietly whittling away at her very own blueprint of pop music. Steering well clear of prevalent harmless geniality, her aim is to cleverly and intelligently dissect our perception of the world around us. After initial, tentative solo ventures on a four track and contributions to the Hausmusik „Reihenhaus" 7" series as well as „The Safe Side" on Belgian label K-raa-k, Lali Puna have now become a fully fledged band, carefully selecting band members (from Console, Notwist, Tied and Tickled Trio, Iso 68, Fred is Dead) as well as infrequent collaborators (Bomb the Bass, Two Lone Swordsmen). Following last years album debut "Tridecoder", their latest offering "Scary World Theory", again released by Morr Music, has now achieved the perfect combination of pop and (personal) politics. Behind ostensibly shy, almost withdrawn vocals Valerie is by no means coy about confronting the world's ambivalent status quo, bluntly documenting current conditions underneath putative fragility. And the music, too, demands our full attention. Between hummable chords and sometimes soothing, almost hypnotic monotony, each repetition discloses multi-layered complexity as well as cleverly hidden counterpoints. No matter if atmospheric (Satur-nine), exuding classical warmth (Contratempo, Lowdown) or quietly breathy (Scary World Theory) - again and again Lali Puna tear heartbreaking harmonies from the sparsest of arrangements. 50 Faces Of rewinds the beat to move our feet with funky House breaks, intersected by stubbornly chirping electronics. Nevertheless, Lali Puna's precision is best revealed on Nin-com-pop or Don't Think - here seemingly unemotional reduction coaxes its way into our ears with unflustered self-confidence and refuses to go away. Produced by Mario Thaler (a.o. Notwist, Slut) "Scary World Theory" is a confidently melancholic album quite happy with itself. And willing to spread that happiness. If we're prepared to let it enter our lives, that is.

Flying Lotus' full-length Warp debut, Los Angeles appears to be much more of a mission statement than a simple introduction – laying the foundation for a field on which an entire generation of artists would soon be playing. On is an extended play record by the electronic music producer Aphex Twin released on 15 November 1993 by Warp. On Remixes, featuring remixes by James, Reload and μ-Ziq, was released on the same day.

The record entered the Dance Singles Chart at number 3 on 27 November. It also peaked at number 32 on the main Singles Chart.

Come to Daddy is a double EP by the British electronic music artist Aphex Twin. The EP's lead single, and the first track on the EP, "Come to Daddy (Pappy Mix)"—often simply called "Come to Daddy"—is one of Aphex Twin's best-known songs; it peaked at number 36 on the UK Singles Chart.

Come to Daddy has been described as featuring drum and bass beats throughout. Each mix of "Come to Daddy" is seemingly unrelated, with the "Little Lord Faulteroy" and "Mummy" mixes bearing no noticeable resemblance to the original "Pappy" mix. "To Cure a Weakling Child (Contour Regard)" is a remix of the song "To Cure a Weakling Child" from Richard D. James Album. Six of Come to Daddy's eight tracks feature vocals.

According to Sean Booth of Autechre, James' track "Bucephalus Bouncing Ball" is a reaction to their track "Drane", to which they then replied with the track "Drane2".
