In the Absence of Truth is the fourth full-length studio album by American post-metal band ISIS, released by Ipecac Recordings on October 31, 2006. The vinyl release was handled by Conspiracy Records.

The album expands upon the group's previous full-length, Panopticon, further exploring lead singer Aaron Turner's clean vocals (though his former techniques, which relied more on screaming and growling, are still present as well). Musically, the album is dynamic, ranging from extended musical ambience to almost tribal drumming. Isis continued their lengthy songwriting; In The Absence of Truth is Isis' longest record, at almost 65 minutes.

Team Sleep is an artful, experimental, ambient band that is led by frontman Chino Moreno, singer of Deftones, the highly influential, two-time Grammy winning group that has sold over 4 million albums worldwide. With contributions from musician friends and production by Terry Date (Deftones) and Ross Robinson (Cure, Slipknot, Limp Bizkit), Team Sleep's ethereal debut album builds a new fan base for a fresh new band.

《In Ear Park》这张由4AD荣誉出品，来自Department Of Eagles的新专辑，提起他们，会有些陌生，但是如果提起Grizzly Bear，相信熟悉的人不少。要按辈分算，Department Of Eagles其实也可以算做是Grizzly Bear的前身了。而Grizzly Bear的灵魂人物Daniel Rossen，则在组建Grizzly Bear 三年前Department Of Eagles就已经成立了，虽然Daniel Rossen已经有了现在Grizzly Bear 的新发展项目，但是Daniel Rossen并没有放弃Department Of Eagles这个老牌子，虽然Department Of Eagles的牌子并没有现在的Grizzly Bear的响亮。现在的Department Of Eagles仍然还是由Daniel Rossen和朋友Fred Nicolaus俩个人在持续着。Daniel Rossen又顾东又顾西，这张新专辑《In Ear Park》有着不轻的分量，单单是俩只单曲“No One Does It Like You ”和“Teenagers ”就足够揪心，所以《In Ear Park》绝对是张耐人寻味的专辑。

The Fire in Our Throats Will Beckon the Thaw is the second studio album by American post-metal band Pelican. It was released May 22, 2005 on Hydra Head Records. Regarding the lengthy and unusual name of the album, guitarist Trevor de Brauw joked, "The title is meant to confuse people. The original title was going to be Black Doom on Tuesday."

According to de Brauw, various influences came into making the album, including early industrial, hardcore, other metal influences, and has also noted the high quality of the studio and exceptional amount of time the group had to finish the album compared to that of their previous effort, Australasia. As the band is very environmentally conscious, The Fire... has a nature-driven theme with song titles such as "Last Day of Winter", "Autumn into Summer" and "Aurora Borealis". It also marks the introduction of acoustic guitar to Pelican's catalog of full-length albums.

"March to the Sea" found substantial airplay on the satellite radio station Hard Attack. An extended version of the track, entitled "March into the Sea", was released on the group's similarly titled EP only a few months prior. This version has a less refined sound and runs nearly twice as long at 20:28. De Brauw considers the EP version a "teaser single before the record came out, as well as a collector's item for completionists."

Throughout their six-year career, this Japanese quartet has ascended consistently in both popularity and critical acclaim. But still elusive is the successful translation of their powerful and violently beautiful live performances to their recordings, until now. Once again recorded by Steve Albini, the album extends the cinematic drama of 2003's "Walking Cloud And Deep Red Sky, Flag Fluttered And The Sun Shined" while surpassing the sinister heaviness of 2002's lauded "One Step More And You Die". If "Walking Cloud" was a nuclear winter, then "You Are There" is the post-war rebirth. This band isn't heavy like Black Sabbath. They're heavy like Beethoven.

San Diego's instrumental post-rock quintet came together after playing in such seminal San Diego bands as The Locust, Crimson Curse, Swing Kids, and Gogogo Airheart among others. This is their third full-length since the release of their critically acclaimed debut "Spine & Sensory" in 2000. It has layers and textures akin to Boards Of Canada and Amon Tobin. Melodic and inventive, emotive and inspirational, the music sings so eloquently throughout, it is nothing less then revelatory. There's great hope and optimism present here; a sanguine feeling that permeates the whole album. A colorful journey beyond instrumental post-rock, delving into the darker realms of modern psychedelia.
