発足から3年、いまやエレクトロニカ、アコースティック、グッドミュージックといったタームを超えて、国内外から愛されるレーベルへと成長した〈schole records〉による記念碑的コンピレーションアルバム「note of seconds」。 これまで作品を提供してきたお馴染みのアーティストに加え、今後schole より作品を提供予定のアーティストが一同に会し、それぞれが「いま鳴らしたい音」をただひたむきに演奏した、音楽への無垢な愛情が惜しみなく詰まった一枚。
akira kosemura + haruka nakamuraという名義では実に3年ぶりとなる、まさに待望の新曲「revive - 甦生-」では、UAの作品参加やライブサポートなどを務めるボーカリスト 太田美帆 が可憐に花を添え、冒頭を飾るに相応しい、心躍る軽やかな一曲に仕上がっている。続く、akira kosemura、muneki takasaka (paniyolo)、janis crunch によって結成された新ユニット tokinowa によるデビュー曲「恋の光」は、儚く揺れ動く女性の恋心を映しながらも穏やかに前向きな光を灯す、schole の新たな表情をのぞかせる一曲。
今後のリリースが待ち遠しい hummingbert stereo、yoshinoritakezawa、ghost and tape、janis crunch による清新な4組の楽曲に加えて、haruka nakamura、paniyolo、dom mino'、flica、sawako + daisuke miyatani、motohiro nakashima、teruyuki nobuchika ら、レーベルを彩り続けた面々も、このアルバムのために新たな楽曲を提供。主宰の akira kosemura もピアノソロによる異なる雰囲気を持った2曲を書き下ろした。

Save Your Heart, the 11 track sophomore full-length from cinematic post-rock powerhouse LIGHTS & MOTION, follows what critics have called "the greatest debut album in post-rock history", "perfect" and "album of the year 2013." Released in January, the band's debut Reanimation (deepelmdigital.com/album/reanimation) has received an avalanche of acclaim from both media and fans worldwide. Save Your Heart will be released worldwide on November 12, 2013 (11-12-13).

LIGHTS & MOTION's braintrust is 25 year old self-taught multi-instrumentalist, producer, engineer, mixer and master musical savant Christoffer Franzen of Gothenburg, Sweden. Save Your Heart was produced by Christoffer Franzen, recorded and mixed at UpSweden Studio and mastered by Daniel Muhr at Mastringshuset. Christoffer plays all instruments on the album. The Malady of Elegance is the second poetic full-length from Boston-based composer Keith Kenniff, better known to some as Helios. Taking cues from Corduroy Road, Keith again restricts himself to the piano in conjuring up his humble soundscapes and again the listener is pulled into a deep, meditative and filmic world as the notes glide to a slow, pensive meter. Keith's Two Point Discrimination EP was a collection of haunting experiments in form and sound, but The Malady of Elegance sees him back into the warming, homespun territory of Corduroy Road. That's not to say these compositions are upbeat, far from it in fact, but there are lines to be drawn to folk music, and while Keith no longer draws on the American Civil War as a primary influence, there is still the sense that the ghosts of old America haunt the keys. Since the release of Corduroy Road, Keith's music has become a staple of documentary filmmakers, feature film producers and even advertising, with Goldmund being the primary focus of this. Countless BBC documentaries and short films have been graced by his memorable compositions and needless to say, The Malady of Elegance will be equally as high-profile in these circles.

Icelandic composer +"lafur Arnalds releases his first Hollywood film score -- the original motion picture soundtrack for Sam Levinson's feature film debut Another Happy Day, starring Ellen Barkin and Demi Moore. In his own words: "In mid-December 2010, I was on a holiday in China when I received an email from Sam Levinson about the film. We got on the phone at, like, 4 in the morning Beijing-time and ended up talking all through the night, instantly connecting. He told me that they had been listening to my music while making the film, so the film was already very influenced by my music. However, it was not until Ellen Barkin -- the beautiful force that she is -- had pestered the producers for a week, calling them every day about how I am the right one for this film, that they finally gave in. The only catch was that it had to be done two weeks later, in the first week of January. So I ended up scoring non-stop all throughout Christmas, making my mother mad in the process."

「After the noise is gone」は、インストゥルメンタル3曲とボーカル入り3曲の全6曲入りで、中井は作曲、ストリングスアレンジ、ピアノ演奏を担当。ボーカル入りの楽曲ではPredawnが、サティやドビュッシーを思わせる繊細で美しいサウンドに柔らかな歌声を重ね、オリジナルとは異なる魅力を発揮している。
