Moon Safari is the debut studio album by French electronic music duo Air, released on 16 January 1998. On 14 April 2008, Virgin Records re-released Moon Safari to mark the album's tenth anniversary. The limited edition album came with a bound book, a DVD documentary about the duo, and an extra CD with live performances and remixes. Rolling Stone magazine ranked the album #93 on their Best Album of the Nineties list, while the French edition named this album #65 on their list of the 100 Greatest French rock albums. Moon Safari set the stage for the budding downtempo music style and, according to Nielsen SoundScan, had sold 364,000 copies by 2009.

Air aren't exactly strangers to mood enhancing music (the release of "Moon Safari", their much-mooted collaboration with Sofia Coppola for the "Virgin Suicides" soundtrack, "10,000 Hz Legend", and 2004's acclaimed "Talkie Walkie", have in 5 short years solidified the Parisian duo's position as premier purveyors of meltingly good, cosmic pop), it's perhaps not surprising that they would eventually combine their talents to mix a selection of their favorite music.

Dipping into by turns melancholic, ambient, soulful, mellow and downright moody classics, Air's selections make for timeless, lounge-loving, uplifing, and occasionally heart-wrenching stuff. Godin and Dunckel's "LNT" selections immediately propel you into a world as dry and as satisfying as a glass of Chateauneuf du Pap, in which time is not so much standing still as floating in space. 今年(2006)秋天法國電子天團Air的成員JB Dunckel發表個人專輯«Darkel»，這張讓人耳目一新的作品，讓所有喜好法國浪漫電音的樂迷們更加好奇Air的後續發展與新作進度。繼2004年的暢銷專輯«Talkie Walkie»，這組歐陸最強的電子浪漫天團，暫定於2007年3月初發行最新錄音室專輯«Pocket Symphony»。此張歷時18個月才完成的最新錄音室大碟，預計收錄12首新作，由過去長期合作的金牌製作人Nigel Godrich (Radiohead、Travis、Zero7…)監製，此次除了有JB Dunckel與Nicolas Goldin親自配唱外，更有Pulp前主唱Jarvis Cocker與The Divine Comedy的主唱與靈魂人物Neil Hannon幫腔助陣。
此張專輯中的數首作品都用上日本傳統樂器，在一位沖繩傳統民俗音樂大師的指導下，十三絃古箏(Koto)與三味線(Shamisen)都成了AIR營造美感與澎湃情感的利器，封面等視覺創作則交由當代藝術家Xavier Veilhan負責。三月中待新專輯正式發行後，AIR將以歐洲為起點展開巡迴演出，四月中轉戰美國展開將近一個月的演出行程，2007年夏天在歐洲與日本當地的音樂祭也將見到他們的身影，請各位樂迷朋友們密切注意！

Co-produced by Grammy-nominated mixmaster Nigel Godrich (Radiohead, Beck), "Talkie Walkie" features ten new cinematic pop songs that are direct, intimate and romantic, the band’s most rewarding collection to date. For the first time, the band handles all the vocal duties themselves to great effect, plus there are several trademark instrumentals such as "Alone In Kyoto" which also appeared in Sofia Coppola's recent hit movie "Lost In Translation". The Limited Edition CD comes with a bonus DVD featuring an inventively shot 35 minute film of Air on tour intercut with behind the scenes footage.
