Even though the 1992 Los Angeles riots took place long before the spread of camera phones, they were captured on video from the beginning, or at least from the event that lit the spark: the beating of Rodney G. King by Los Angeles police officers. “LA 92,” one of several documentaries being released to commemorate the riots’ 25th anniversary, takes advantage of the wealth of broadcast and helicopter footage available to assemble a chronological account with a present-tense feel.
The movie, which opens theatrically on Friday and airs on the National Geographic channel on Sunday, begins and ends by drawing a parallel with the 1965 Watts riots, which the news media addressed in strikingly similar language. Apart from overbearing music — the lead-in to the first day of the riots is scored with an orchestra tuning up — the film mostly lets the archival footage speak for itself.

CBGB, the music club that helped define New York City’s "punk" scene by introducing the world to such bands as the Talking Heads and Ramones, is little more than a bar, a stage and two bathrooms. Since the club opened in 1973, very little has changed about the physical space, with one exception: the graffiti. The club has never stopped its patrons from adding to the mosaics of ink and pencil that literally cover every square inch of the club’s walls. As grimy and layered with ink as they are, the walls contain the history of the club, from the musicians to the fans.

Sex is part of every teenager's life. They think about it, they worry about it, and a lot of them do it. This new series offers a frank exploration of the love and sex lives of today's teenagers - presenting solutions to the emotional and physical problems many of them experience.Fronted by sexual health specialist Dr Rachael Jones, Ruth Corden, a graduate in social work who has ten years experience working with young people, and resident sex coach Joanna Wierzbicka, the series revolves around visitors to the Sex Advice Shop walk-in clinic, where the team is on hand to offer young people, and sometimes their parents, support and professional advice.With 18-year-old Billie JD Porter acting as the show's roving reporter, no subject is off limits, from teen pregnancy to sexual performance and genital health, as the series shines a spotlight on issues that young people care about and experience in their love and sex lives.
Episode One:
A frank and sometimes shocking look at the real world of teenage sex, complete with fears, frights and fun. Ruth and Dr Rachael meet a mother and daughter at loggerheads because the daughter refuses to go on the pill. Seventeen-year-old Rachel fell pregnant by accident last year and her mum Michelle is at a loss trying to get her daughter to protect herself from another unwanted pregnancy. While Ruth helps the pair to communicate better, can Dr Rachael find a suitable method of contraception for the teenager? Ruth also meets 20-year-old Calvin from Liverpool. Calvin is gay and works as a drag queen on the club scene, but he's yet to have a sexual partner and is scared to lose his virginity. Sex coach Joanna gives him some helpful advice on foreplay to get him more accustomed to the idea of anal sex. Next into the clinic is Holly, 20, who takes the contraceptive pill but rarely uses condoms because she doesn't think the kind of guy she sleeps with would carry sexually transmitted infections - even though the fastest growing STI, chlamydia, has no visible symptoms.
Episode Two:
Two teens who hate their boobs pay a visit to Dr Rachael. Ruth meets a young man with a phobia of vaginas. And Billie investigates the glamour industry. Melissa (20) has inverted nipples, while Jamie (16) worries that her nipples are too big. Rachael tries to allay their fears, and offer Melissa advice on how she can have her inverted nipples corrected. In the Sex Advice Shop, Ruth meets Michaela (20) and her boyfriend Luke (22). The pair are engaged to be married, but there's one problem threatening to create a wedge in their relationship, Luke cannot bring himself to perform oral sex on his fianc?e as he has a phobia of vaginas. Desperate to make Michaela happy, Lukes takes a masterclass in female anatomy from sex coach Joanna, and visits a sculptor who helps him get to grips with Michaela's vagina in a whole new way.
Episode Three:
Seventeen-year-old Charlie doesn't know how to ask his dad for advice. And 18-year-old Ronnie thinks his penis is too small. Also in this episode 16-year-old Pixie takes the brave step of speaking to Dr Rachael about wanting an HIV test. Pixie has slept with over 20 people and thinks that a boy she slept with recently may have HIV. Ruth meets 17-year-old Charlie and his dad Barrie. Charlie would love to have more success with the ladies, but doesn't know how to ask his dad for advice. Ruth helps father and son to talk openly about sex. Meanwhile 19-year-old Sarah's concerns about how her vagina looks are ruining her sex life. Can the Sex Advice Shop team help ease her worries? Also, 20-year-olds Natasha and Ben are keen to get some oral sex tips. Eighteen-year-old Rebecca would like advice on how to keep the fire burning in her long-distance relationship. And Billie JD Porter investigates the world on online sex and how technology is affecting teenagers' attitudes towards sex.
Episode Four:
Sammy comes to see Dr Rachael because she is worried she may be allergic to sperm. And 19-year-old Josh is desperate to lose his virginity. Eighteen-year-old Sammy has been with her boyfriend for five years but her extreme physical reaction to his sperm makes her wonder if she will be able to conceive later in life. Also in this show 19-year-old Georgina hates her boobs and it is ruining her sex life. And 20-year-old Beth is suffering from severe cystitis when she has sex.

日本电影导演小津安二郎是国际影坛上备受尊崇的大师，欧美和亚洲的不少后时导演自认受到他的作品启发和影响，德国的维姆．文德斯就是其中之一。本片是维姆．文德斯对小津致敬之作，他在八十年代中期亲自跑到日本去追寻小津的足迹，以日记手法纪录他对东京这个城市的感觉。
1982年温达斯在罗马一次放映会上，选择了日本导演小津安二郎（Yasujiro Ozu， 1903-63）的《东京物语》（Tokyo Monogatari， 1953），作为对自己电影工作有特别影响力的作品来播放，并触发拍摄这个属於自己版本的“东京物语”的念头。温氏声明并非本著朝圣的心态“寻找小津”，纵然他相信小津的留世作品最有资格被摆放在电影艺术的殿堂。他之所以推崇小津，是因小津“在掌握了经由美国推展及至全球的电影的语言后，竟能反过来从中调制出一种完全个人的景观；在拍摄某样事物时，能让事物保存原有的身份”。温氏总结对小津的赏析，在片初把电影的本质界定为“提供一个这个世纪人类的真实和可行的图像，从而让人能够认清自我”。顺带一提的是，温达斯的好友、奥藉剧作家汉德克（Peter Handke）在写作上渗用了小津的镜头叙事手法，同是温氏消化小津的另一途径。
寻找小津的片名Tokyo-Ga其意指东京画，为温德斯尝试将他对于小津电影与东京印象所联系而拍摄的纪录片。此片对照了小津镜头下的东京，以及三十年后的东京，在拍寻找小津时，温德斯笔触显得平淡，几乎仿效了小津当年的拍法。温德斯不但采访了为小津工作了二十五年的摄影师，同时也拍柏青哥店，沉浸当中痴迷的人们，小钢珠像是可怕的虫卵般蠕动着；工人维修不绣钢的挡洞扇；他拍公园中的游人；学唱西洋流行乐曲的摩登少男少女、追踪那些餐厅外食物样品的制蜡工厂，工人如何像制作真的三明治般制作着假的三明治。

The HBO documentary film focuses on four young women struggling with anorexia: Brittany, a 15 year-old who strives to be thin to gain acceptance among her peers, and whose mother has also suffered with the disease; Shelly, 25, who has been battling anorexia for six years, and who enters Renfrew with a feeding tube surgically implanted in her stomach; Alisa, 30, a divorced mother of two who struggled for decades with a relentless compulsion to purge; and Polly, 29, who has spent years in and out of treatment and often challenges the Center's policies and procedures. The camera follows these women to places most have never ventured: one-on-one and group therapy sessions, emotionally wrought mealtimes, early morning weigh-ins, heated arguments with staff, and tense encounters with family members. Some will sabotage their own treatment; others will make significant strides; and still others will make progress only to discover that their insurance will not cover the long-term care they need to truly get well.
