One of the most thoroughly engrossing and musically substantial electronic albums to be released since Portishead broke up, Alif Tree's French Cuisine doesn't belong to any particular electronica subgenre, although it pulls some of the best ideas from ambient house, downtempo, acid jazz, IDM, and experimental minimalism, among others. Highlights include the hypnotic "Melismes Extatiques," built on a short loop of what sound like church bells and sounding like the first five minutes of "Tubular Bells" as reimagined by Steve Reich circa "Come Out" and "It's Gonna Rain"; the lushly romantic, soundtrack-like atmosphere of "Enough"; and the remarkable acid jazz groove of the opening "Deadly Species." Sequenced with the same attention to detail as a perfect DJ set and varied enough to envelop influences ranging from Nina Simone to Erik Satie, French Cuisine is a delight.

SOME GREAT REWARD, the band's 1984 industrial/mainstream masterpiece, spawned the #13 Billboard® smash "People Are People." Also features the signature Depeche songs "Somebody," "Blasphemous Rumors," and "Master And Servant." DVD boasts three additional tracks including "In Your Memory" and a remix of "Somebody," plus five songs captured live in concert in Basel and Liverpool in '84 including "People Are People" and "Master And Servant." 27-minute DVD film Depeche Mode 1984: You Can Get Away With Anything If You Give It A Good Tune explores the band circa '84 and also features recent interview segments.

Moon Safari is the debut studio album by French electronic music duo Air, released on 16 January 1998. On 14 April 2008, Virgin Records re-released Moon Safari to mark the album's tenth anniversary. The limited edition album came with a bound book, a DVD documentary about the duo, and an extra CD with live performances and remixes. Rolling Stone magazine ranked the album #93 on their Best Album of the Nineties list, while the French edition named this album #65 on their list of the 100 Greatest French rock albums. Moon Safari set the stage for the budding downtempo music style and, according to Nielsen SoundScan, had sold 364,000 copies by 2009.
