1998年令人兴奋的一张专辑，由Magna Carta所促成及发行的project作品，由 Dream Theater的吉他手John Petrucci、鼓手Mike Portnoy，与King Crimson的bass手Tony Levin，Dixie Dregs的keyboard手Jordan Rudess所组成的Liquid Tension Experiment，在98年发表了同名的「演奏」专辑，对於一直期望能听到一张前卫金属演奏专辑的我来说(非一般吉他手的solo专辑)，真是兴奋莫名！
这是一个什么样乐风的组合呢？想像Dream Theater去掉主唱，再加入较深沈的情绪与旋律，New Age的实验性音色、Fusion/Jazz的戏謔手法与引人遐思的气氛，就是这张作品了！
此张专辑的製作过程亦是相当令人讶异，四位乐手聚集在Mike Portnoy家中，仅仅花了短短六天的时间，便完成了整张专辑的创作及录製，甚至专辑末尾的28分长曲，更是四人在事前没有任何沟通之下所即性「jam」出来的，完全live，没有再做修饰，so cool！真不愧为一群顶尖的乐手，创作之泉竟是如此源源不绝，令人讚嘆！
John Petrucci和Mike Portnoy两人一直是我非常喜爱的吉他手与鼓手，John以其快速流畅的指法，变化著极为複杂的音符与节奏，时而粗旷，时又优美，弹指间流泻出无比丰沛的情感，好一个感情派的吉他手！而Mike变化多端的鼓点，绝对是许多鼓手所望尘莫及的！他在DT过去的专辑及这张作品中的表现，总是带给听者许多的惊奇和感动，其与John的完美搭配和绝佳的默契，不仅使乐曲更富张力，也让人从音乐中感受到一股生命的活力！
而Tony Levin (bass)与Jordan Rudess (keyboard)我对他们两人的过去并不熟悉，但在听过此张专辑后，我爱死他们二人了！Tony这位与Billy Sheehan不分轩輊的bass手，充份扮演著穿针引线的角色，在专辑中和吉他有精彩对弹！而Jordan在keyboard及钢琴的表现，处处充满活力与新鲜感，流畅的琴键solo，让人怀念起Kevin Moore在Dream Theater时的辉煌年代，轻鬆曼妙的keyboard音效，又是在前卫金属中所较少听到的，而温柔婉约的钢琴抒情小品，让人感动落泪；带Jazz感的戏謔式音调又让人会心一笑。

由於LTE首张专辑的大获好评，促使LTE在99年继续发表了第二张的专辑，两张专辑都强烈推荐必备！
另外，Jordan Rudess在参与完LTE的两张专辑之后，已获邀加入Dream Theater成为新任的keyboard手，而由於LTE已有三位成员都是Dream Theater的团员，因此Mike Portnoy也宣布LTE成为绝响。

Trespass is the second studio album from the English rock band Genesis. It was released in October 1970 on Charisma Records and is their last album with guitarist Anthony Phillips prior to his departure, and their only one recorded with drummer John Mayhew in the band's line-up. After several months of touring small venues, Genesis secured a recording contract with Charisma Records and entered Trident Studios in London in July 1970 to record Trespass. Its music marked a departure from more pop-oriented songs as displayed on their first album From Genesis to Revelation, towards folk-flavoured progressive rock.
Trespass was not a success upon release; it failed to chart in the UK and the US and it received some mixed reviews from critics. Following the band's growth in popularity in the 1980s, it reached its peak of number 98 for one week in 1984. Elsewhere, it went to number one in Belgium, which led to the band's first overseas concerts there in March 1971. "The Knife" was released as a single in May 1971.

Peter Brian Gabriel is an English singer, songwriter, musician, record producer and activist. He rose to fame as the original lead singer of the progressive rock band Genesis. After leaving Genesis in 1975, he launched a successful solo career with "Solsbury Hill" as his first single.

Brain Salad Surgery is the fourth studio album by progressive rock band Emerson, Lake & Palmer, released in 1973 and the first under their Manticore Records imprint. It fuses rock and classical themes. Greg Lake wrote the lyrics for the album with the assistance (on two tracks, "Karn Evil 9: 3rd Impression" and "Benny the Bouncer") of fellow ex-King Crimson member (and, beginning with this album, frequent ELP collaborator) Peter Sinfield. The cover art is by H. R. Giger.
