巴布狄伦曾经说，「我从来没有想过要当个先知或救星。」也许他不是个先知，但依然获得了举世的推崇，七座葛莱美奖、终身成就奖、还有「摇滚名人殿堂」，只不过是他毕生荣耀的冰山一角。他是当代美国民歌的宗师，堪称活生生的传奇。六十五岁的狄伦，依然活跃如昔，除了密集巡回，还出版自传，大导演马丁史柯西斯并且拍摄了他的传记影片。2006年八月底，他发表五年来首张全新创作的《摩登时代》，立即登上排行冠军宝座。
成名四十五年来，狄伦曾在60年代先後两度改变作品的风格，而这张专辑则带来第三度的改变。「摩登时代」有如一块未经雕琢的璞玉，充满粗犷的魅力，节奏与拍子也不断的变化，洋溢着几乎有如现场、很直接的感觉，歌曲有的幽默、有的神秘，有的纤柔、有的狂野。他以「杰克佛洛斯特Jack Frost」的化名，亲自担任制作，从开场第一首歌曲＜Thunder on the Mountain＞，他就毫不避讳的唱出自己对新生代创作女歌手艾莉西亚凯斯"Alicic Keys"的喜爱，在这首火热、刺耳、狂放不羁的蓝调旋律中，老先生显得烦躁不安、却又充满了激动的狂喜。在一群顶尖乐手的陪衬下，他采用流行音乐的传统，对摩登的世界提出大胆的挑衅。除了蓝调之外，透过＜Spirit on the Water＞，他也唱出爱情的神圣。在＜When the Deal Goes Down＞里面，他则刻意的模仿已故歌手平克劳斯贝那种唱腔，加上「柯波帝：冷血告白」获奥斯卡最佳导演提名的Bennett Miller使用八厘米形式拍摄由当红好莱坞女星史嘉蕾乔韩森"Scarlett Johansson"主演该曲短篇影片，造成轰动。
而＜Rollin‘ and Tumblin‘＞和＜Someday Baby＞又让人联想起穆帝华特斯。但可别以为他是在抄袭，他只是生动的采用了蓝调、摇滚、福音、以及R&B等各种不同的音乐型态，让歌曲得到最好的表现。
《摩登时代》阐述着各种情感，＜When the Deal Goes Down＞和＜Beyond the Horizon＞说的是爱情，＜The Levee‘s Gonna Break＞和＜Ain‘t Talkin’＞探讨的是死亡，而＜Workingman‘s Blues #2＞则唱出这个世界令人沮丧的现况，甚至沿着传统一路走来，在黑暗的同时，也隐约透露着一线希望的曙光，就好像卓别林那部不朽的经典，也就难怪他会用「摩登时代」来当作专辑的标题了。老而弥坚的巴布狄伦，总是不断的带给世人各种惊奇，这张专辑再度证明了这一点。

After the Gold Rush is the third album by Neil Young, and one of four high-profile albums released by each partner of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young in the wake of their chart-topping Déjà Vu album of 1970. It peaked at #8 on the Billboard Top Pop Albums chart; two singles taken from the album, "Only Love Can Break Your Heart" and "When You Dance I Can Really Love," made it to # 33 and # 93 respectively on the Billboard Hot 100.
After the Gold Rush was remastered and released on HDCD-encoded CD and digital download on July 14, 2009 as part of the Neil Young Archives Original Release Series. The remaster has been released on audiophile vinyl and a high resolution digital version on Blu-ray disc is also planned although a release date for this format has not yet been announced.

Ranking near the top of anyone's list of Dylan's masterpieces, this post-motorcycle-accident career-turning-point finds Dylan veering from the razor-edged desperation of "All Along the Watchtower" to the gentle, back-porch sway of "I'll Be Your Baby Tonight" -- and all points in between. Back at last, in its ultra-rare original mono mix, this landmark LP -- cut with the cream of Nashville's studio cats and generally credited as a blueprint for the era's country-rock movement -- sizzles on Sundazed high-definition vinyl.

Bridge Over Troubled Water is the fifth and final studio album by Simon & Garfunkel. Released on January 26, 1970 on both Quadraphonic and Stereo formats, it reached No. 1 on Billboard Music Charts pop albums list. It won a Grammy Award for Album of the Year, as well as for Best Engineered Recording, while its title track won the Grammy Award for Record of the Year and Song of the Year in the Grammy Awards of 1971. It has since sold over 25 million copies worldwide.

Philip David Ochs was an American protest singer and songwriter who was known for his sharp wit, sardonic humor, earnest humanism, political activism, insightful and alliterative lyrics, and distinctive voice. He wrote hundreds of songs in the 1960s and 1970s and released eight albums.

Singing Saw is a record written simply and realized orchestrally. In it, Kevin Morby faces the reality that true beauty - deep and earned - demands a whole-world balance that includes our darker sides. It is a record of duality, one that marks another stage of growth for this young, gifted songwriter with a kind face and a complicated mind. Morby opens Singing Saw with "Cut Me Down", a song of tears, debts and a prescient vision of being reduced to nothing. "I Have Been to the Mountain", "Destroyer" and "Black Flowers" continue to explore beauty and freedom, seizing upon the rot that seeps into even the supposedly safest of realms; peace, family and romantic love. By the end of the record on "Water", Morby is literally begging to be put out once and for all, like a fire that might burn all the visions away. Travels beyond his mountain walks, near his Mount Washington home in Los Angeles, inform songs like "Dorothy", which recounts a trip to Portugal, witnessing a fishing ritual and luxuriating in the aura of a bar light-tinged reunion with old friends. The touching innocence of "Ferris Wheel" stands alone in stark simplicity amidst the lush sonic textures of the album. Here, the album is balanced by Morby's signature sweetness and joie de vivre. In the end, Morby fulfills the promise many heard on his first two albums, bringing his most realized effort of songwriting and lyricism to fruition. The songs of Singing Saw reflect the clarity that comes from welcoming change and embracing duality, and the distillation of those elements into an entirely new vision.
