Peter Lindbergh 豆瓣
作者: Martin Harrison / Peter Lindbergh Schirmer/Mosel 2004 - 9
After his "aperitif" book of models, Ten Women, which was a world success within five months of publication, Peter Lindbergh presented in 1997 his long-awaited larger title Images of Women, comprising the creative essence of his photographic work. Images of Women contains Lindbergh's classic fashion photos, his great portraits of actresses and pop stars such as Madonna, Tina Turner, Demi Moore, Milla Jovovitch, Catherine Deneuve, Charlotte Rampling, Daryl Hannah, and many, many more— and, of course, all the photos of his supermodels that he has been saving up for his larger book. Images of Women thus provides a comprehensive overview of twenty years of artistic work of the highest level, showing Peter Lindbergh in his favourite role—as a man who loves women.

作者: Josef Koudelka Thames & Hudson Ltd 2020 - 5
Between 1991 and 2015, Josef Koudelka completed an epic journey across twenty countries bordering the Mediterranean, stopping at over 200 Greek and Roman archaeological sites, relentlessly researching the beauty of the ancient world.
Before the Magnum photographer, nobody had attempted to make such a comprehensive photographic record of these artefacts with so much persistence and so little assistance. In this book, produced in close collaboration with the photographer, Koudelka's aim was to use art to re-appropriate a world that is escaping us and that we could lose - a world where the mind alternates between reason and faith, law and liberty.
Cape Light 豆瓣
作者: Joel Meyerowitz Bulfinch 2002 - 6
This classic volume of colour photographs of Cape Cod is back in print in an expanded edition with a new preface and photographs from Joel Meyerowitz's continuing body of work taken on Cape Cod. Originally published in 1979, the book is regarded as one of the most influential photography texts published in the latter part of the 20th century. Common scenes - tiny figures on a beach, a porch railing against a storm-darkened sky, a blue raft against a summer cottage - are transformed by the poignant light of the Cape and the photographer's subtle vision.
Paul Strand 豆瓣
作者: Calvin Tomkins Aperture 1999 - 9
Sixty Years of Photographs, back in print after many years, is one of the most comprehensive surveys of the power and force of a major photographic figure of our time. Before his death in 1976, Strand spent his last days going over his photographic prints and his many books with an eye to the completion of this volume. Because of his insistence on growth and movement toward perfection throughout his career, and to be true to his vision, the editors examined over three thousand photographs, constituting the main body of the work of Strand's lifetime. This volume, includes an insightful biographical profile by Calvin Tomkins and excerpts from Strand's correspondence, interviews, and other documents.

Product Description
A good street photographer must be possessed of many talents: an eye for detail, light, and composition; impeccable timing; a populist or humanitarian outlook; and a tireless ability to constantly shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot and never miss a moment. It is hard enough to find these qualities in trained photographers with the benefit of schooling and mentors and a community of fellow artists and aficionados supporting and rewarding their efforts. It is incredibly rare to find it in someone with no formal training and no network of peers.
Yet Vivian Maier is all of these things, a professional nanny, who from the 1950s until the 1990s took over 100,000 photographs worldwide—from France to New York City, to Chicago and dozens of other countries—and yet showed the results to no one. The photos are amazing both for the breadth of the work and for the high quality of the humorous, moving, beautiful, and raw images of all facets of city life in America’s post-war golden age.
It wasn’t until realtor and amateur historian John Maloof stumbled upon a box of anonymous negatives in a Chicago auction house just a few years ago that any of her marvelous work saw the light of day. Presented here for the first time in print, Vivian Maier: Street Photographer collects the first wave of the best of her incredible body of work—much of which still hasn’t been enlarged or in some case even developed into negatives. Hidden treasures like this don’t come along every day, and powerHouse is excited and honored to present this astounding body of never-before-seen work to the public at large.
About the Author
There is still very little known about the life of Vivian Maier. What is known is that she was born in New York in 1926 and worked as a nanny for a family on Chicago’s North Shore during the 50s and 60s. Seemingly without a family of her own, the children she cared for eventually acted as caregivers for Maier herself in the autumn of her life. She took hundreds of thousands of photographs in her lifetime, but never shared them with anyone. Maier lost possession of her art when her storage locker was sold off for non-payment. She passed away in 2009 at the age of 83.
John Maloof is a historian, street photographer, and former real estate agent from Chicago’s Northwest Side. He discovered the first negatives of Vivian Maier’s work in 2007 while compiling a book about the history of the neighborhood where he grew up.
