陳奕迅的演唱會唱片《Get a Life Live》在2006年度IFPI香港唱片銷量大獎奪得「最高銷量廣東唱片獎」，2007年，Eason延續上年《What's Going On...?》廣東大碟中的強勢，推出國語大碟《認了吧》，碟內特別改編了多首大熱的粵語歌為國語主打，包括︰「煙味」(裙下之臣)、「愛情轉移」(富士山下)、「月黑風高」(黑擇明)和「紅玫瑰」(白玫瑰)。

歌迷引頸期待一年，新歌神陳奕迅終於將在6月30日推出全新國語專輯「不想放手」，延續EASON的唱功及對歌曲詮釋的深刻動人，「不想放手」收錄十首陳奕迅親自精挑細選、曲曲堪稱經典的曲目，其中首波主打「不要說話」12日起就在電台正式首播，剛曝光就引起所有E迷熱烈討論，帶點憂鬱及失落的曲風及唱腔，將聽眾情緒帶入淡淡哀愁，也更讓新專輯期待度提升。
