这书帮我确定信心,去尝试一次72 小时长时间断食,激发身体产生大量干细胞,以加速我身体的恢复过程。

书的前三章是断食原理和益处的介绍,面向所有人。从第四章开始,才开始针对女性的生理周期介绍如何根据激素变化和自身目标采取不同的断食策略。

作者认为,断食是一种工具,但并非万能。你得知道自己的目标,了解自身的状况,才能更好的利用这一工具。同时,食物也是工具。于是,除了断食策略,作者还介绍了在进食窗口,根据生理周期和自身目的应当选择怎样的食物。把这些合在一起,她给出了一个30天为周期的断食/进食策略。并且结合不同的需求,微调策略,使其符合个人的目的,比如减肥,调节荷尔蒙,提高脑力等等。

读这书的时候,一个问题一直萦绕脑际。虽说男性的荷尔蒙没有想女性的那样的周期,难道男性就没有其他的类似女性月经的周期性变化吗?记得读《认知觉醒》的时候,其中也提到过人的精力,创造力,体力也有涨落的周期的。在已婚夫妇中,如果发现男性生理周期会因女性伴侣的周期影响,我也丝毫不以为奇怪。也许,也该有人研究一下男人的周期?

在书中还学到一个育儿窍门:带孩子去商店,如果孩子要买零食的话,她必须能读出营养成分列表前四项,且这四项中不能有糖才可以。
