Breaking the Fourth Wall is a live album and video by American progressive metal/rock band Dream Theater, recorded live at the Boston Opera House on 25 March 2014, released on 29 September on CD, DVD, and Blu-ray. The DVD and Blu-ray releases will include bonus features. The release was announced by the band on 21 August 2014, and a promotional video featuring the live version of "The Looking Glass" was uploaded to Youtube. Another promotional video featuring the live version of "Strange Deja Vu" was uploaded on 15 September 2014.
The album features the Berklee College of Music "World Strings" and "Concert Choir", and the concert was filmed and directed by Pierre and François Lamoureux.

前卫金属乐队Dream Theater日前在Roadrunner旗下正式发行了乐队的第11张录音室大碟A Dramatic Turn of Events。这是继原始鼓手Mike Portnoy退出乐队，新鼓手Mike Mangini参与制作的第一张专辑。
今年整个上半年，乐队完成了A Dramatic Turn of Events所有的创作，包括写词编曲，录音和混音，这不得不佩服这支大师级别乐队的创作进程之快。

Black Clouds & Silver Linings marks another milestone on Dream Theater's iconoclastic career - their 10th milestone to be precise! - which began two and a half decades ago and has established the durable progressive metal outfit as a one-of-a-kind creative force with a fiercely devoted international fan base. This is a 3CD limited special edition featuring the entire album in instrumental form and 6 newly recorded classic covers. This is featured as a digi pack with individual sleeves and art by Hugh Syme.

Few bands inspire such fanaticism among their fans as DREAM THEATER. The best way to satiate this dedicated legion is to provide them with even more material to devour and DREAM THEATER are doing just that this September. The band will release "Chaos In Motion 2007/2008", which documents their "Chaos In Motion" world tour, which kicked off June 3, 2007 at the Monsters of Rock festival in Milan, Italy and concluded almost a year to the day later on June 4, 2008 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. It's essentially a travelogue of their most recent touring experience and it hits shelves on September 23. "Chaos In Motion 2007/2008" will be available in two configurations: as a double DVD set and as five-disc collector's set which includes two DVDs and three CDs, containing 14 live tracks featured in the DVD set and expanded artwork.

The first disc is comprised of five tracks, averaging about 10 minutes each and the second disc is a 42-minute opus complete with overture and finale. The length of the songs, rather than being a hindrance, allows for both a sense of completeness and an improvisational element to the tracks, making them fun to listen to.
The virtuoso skills of each instrumentalist are shown in running keyboard lines, pounding bass lines, and finger-twisting guitar solos. This mastery is expressed even more through the control heard in the slow, moving moments, especially the disc one closer "Disappear." Vocalist James Labrie solidifies his status as one of progressive metal's finest voices, hammering home strong, mid-range vocal lines with comfort and feeling. Definitely a worthy listening experience.
