Siebenburgen是德文Transylvania(特蘭西瓦尼亞)，意為七座城市，也是傳說中位於羅馬尼亞的吸血鬼德古拉故鄉；來自瑞典的Melodic Black/Gothic Metal樂團Siebenburgen在音樂中完美將吸血鬼殘暴美學的迷人特性表露無疑。
由Marcus Ehlin(主唱/吉他)和Anders Rosdahl(鼓)兩人於1994年所組成的Siebenburgen，在Fredrik Brockert(貝斯)、Linus Ekstrom(吉他)和Lovisa Hallstedt(小提琴/女聲)的加入下開始著手Demo帶的錄製，並於兩年後的萬聖節正式亮相，隨即展開多場的Live演出，在獨立廠牌收音、整理的幫忙下發行EP「Siebenburgen Live」；因在地下圈中廣為流傳，讓樂團受到奧地利名廠Napalm Records的賞識攬至旗下。97年首張專輯「Loreia」問世，Siebenburgen受邀加入Forbidden Site和Menhir的歐洲巡迴，人氣直線上升！很快的在隔年發表第二作「Grimjaur」，又與Atanatos及Ragnarok合作展開另一次的演出，定下Siebenburgen往後紮實且豐富的音樂基礎；千禧年Marcus為了能更專心主唱的職位，邀請Richard Bryngelsson入團擔任吉他手，成為往後專輯的最佳合作夥伴，卻也因為參與創作的人數增多讓團員間產生意見分歧的不合因素，導致樂團情況岌岌可危，在2005年推出「Darker Designs & Images」後即宣告解散。
沉睡三年後，Siebenburgen居然奇蹟般的甦醒，並帶來全新惡魔詩篇「Revelation VI 」，以Lisa (女聲)、Marcus (主唱/貝斯)、Dennis(鼓)、Richard(吉他)、Johnnie(鍵盤)、Joakim(吉他)等全新陣容再度降臨人間！藉由神秘且莊嚴的序曲"Awaken"告昭世人吸血王已復活，不安氣氛籠罩大地；"Rebirth Of The Nameless"中Lisa的柔美高音軟化了黑金骨幹，卻也突顯出哥德的悽美哀愁；透過Marcus邪惡的嘶吼使得"Grimheim"、"S.I.N"、"The Soulless"猶如無月黑夜般黯淡銷沉；"At The End Of Twilight"所散發出的殘酷浪漫十足代表了重生後Siebenburgen的異色美學。
