Souvlaki is the second studio album by the English rock band Slowdive. Recorded in 1992, it was released in the UK on 17 May 1993 by record label Creation, then on 8 February 1994 in the US.

Shoegazing（自赏摇滚）的奠基者The Jesus and Mary Chain的首张专辑，一般也认为是首张Shoegazing专辑，他们在其中演练了各种吉他噪音和梦幻般的和声，"Just Like Honey," "My Little Underground" 和 "Never Understand"都被认为是另类摇滚的经典。

The Zombies这个乐队并不怎么出名，Odessey and Oracle是他们的最后一张专辑，推出之后不久乐队就散伙了。专辑录制于1967年，但发行商直到1969年才把它翻出来听（个人认为很可能是打算听一遍就扔掉），然而听过之后，这个交好运的发行商忽然发现原来垃圾堆里也有宝贝，这张专辑才得以发行。
就是这样一张侥幸逃过灭顶之灾且知名度并不太高的唱片，在强手林立的滚石500张最强专辑中排名却高居第80位，并不是偶然的。滚石的编辑认为，这张专辑把类似于Beatles的那张Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band中的迷幻曲风和正在发展的英格兰流行音乐进行了很好的融合。我听过之后，觉得确实非常好听，单纯论好听的话，我认为不比Beatles那张Sgt' Pepper's Lonely Heart Club Band差。如果不是因为乐队名气实在太小，我相信这张专辑还可以获得更高的名次，推荐！
这张专辑在1998年推出30周年纪念版，在原版12首歌基础上增加15首Bonus Track。2004年又再版一次，总曲目变为28首。[from verycd]

Zaba (stylised as ZABA) is the debut studio album by English rock group Glass Animals, released on 9 June 2014 by Wolf Tone/Caroline International and on 17 June 2014 by Harvest Records in the US.

"杰斐逊飞机"乐队是由男歌手马特·巴林（Marty Balin）于1965年建立起来的摇滚乐队，共6人。起先他们在俱乐部演奏一些民谣摇滚和披头士的歌曲，后来与RCA唱片公司签约，发行专辑《杰斐逊飞机起飞》（Jefferson Airplane Takes Off ，1966）但销路不佳。
不久，他们采用了迷幻摇滚风格，与吸毒文化相联系，而且由于吸收了一位女歌手格瑞斯·斯利克（Grace Slick，1939年出生），情况才发生了变化。1967年，他们的第二张专辑《超现实主义枕头》（Surrealistic Pillow）取得了巨大的成绩。Balin以他带有摇滚力量又不失和谐音律的情歌《Somebody To Love》（有人去爱）和《White Rabbit》(白兔)征服了数以万记的观众。而这两首经典作品作为单曲推出后，销量都突破了百万。

The term "Jefferson airplane" is also slang for a used paper match split open to hold a marijuana joint that has been smoked too short to hold without burning the hands, an improvised roach clip.[citation needed] An urban legend claims this was the origin for the band's name, but according to band member Jorma Kaukonen, the name was invented by his friend Steve Talbot as a parody of blues names such as 'Blind Lemon' Jefferson

I-Feel-Like-I'm-Fixin'-To-Die is the second album by the influential San Francisco psychedelic rock group Country Joe and the Fish, released in 1967. The title track remains one of the most popular Vietnam protest songs from the 1960s and originally appeared in a 1965 7" EP titled Rag Baby: Songs of Opposition. On the album version however, "I-Feel-Like-I'm-Fixin'-To-Die Rag" appears alongside "The Fish Cheer," which at concerts, became a Country Joe standard. At Woodstock, however, Joe had the crowd yell F-U-C-K instead of F-I-S-H. The title song faced a legal challenge from the estate of New Orleans jazz trombone pioneer Edward "Kid" Ory, whose daughter Babette claimed that McDonald appropriated the melody for his song from Ory's classic "Muskrat Ramble," as recorded by Louis Armstrong & his Hot Five in 1926. A 2005 judgment upheld McDonald's copyright on the song, claiming that Ory waited too long to make the claim.

Unknown Pleasures is the debut studio album by English rock band Joy Division, released on 15 June 1979 on Tony Wilson's Factory Records label. The album was recorded and mixed over three successive weekends at Stockport's Strawberry Studios in April 1979 and was produced by Martin Hannett, who incorporated a number of unconventional recording and production techniques into the group's sound. The cover artwork was designed by artist Peter Saville. It is the only Joy Division album released during lead singer Ian Curtis's lifetime. Factory Records did not release any singles from Unknown Pleasures, and the album did not chart despite the relative success of the group's non-album debut single "Transmission". It has since received sustained critical acclaim as an influential post-punk album, and has been named as one of the best albums of all-time by publications such as NME, AllMusic, Select and Spin.
