Composed in 1952, John Cage's composition 4'33" probably is most famous and most controversial musical piece. The score instructs the performer not to play the instrument during the entire duration of the piece. In it's own right the present CD contains nine interpretations of 4'33", performed by artist Nigel Tomm. This is absence. Dirty, pushing and obsessive silence. Now you can hear it. Do you?
