Hurrah! Scooch - the Bucks Fizz for a new generation - release their Eurovision song Flying The Flag (For You). Caroline Barnes, Russ Spencer, David Ducasse, and Natalie Powers returned to the spotlight with a patriotic flourish when they performed their poptastic song on Making Your Mind Up. Enjoying their bright performance and recognising the sheer Euro-appeal of the song, the country voted for Scooch to represent Britain in the Eurovision Song Contest in Helsinki on May 12th. With an audience of 6.8 million people, the band and their winning song were the hottest property in pop and they were instantly snapped up by Warner Bros Records.
