当 Good Charlotte完全屏弃自己的风格而一去不归时，当Sum41沿着金属与硬核的方向继续探索时，同期发表新专辑的Simple Plan简洁明了的摆出自己的立场，他们要让自己固守着的地盘越来越稳固。专辑中的首支单曲《Shut Up》开宗明义，依然是Simple Plan招牌式的流行朋克曲风。而像《Thank You》、《Jump》、《Promise》等作品更是带有第一张专辑的特色，一如既往的爽快有力。整张唱片中最值得称道的应该是像《Crazy》、《Perfect World》以及《Everytime》那样的中慢版歌曲，从精妙紧凑的器乐编配以及更具深度的睿智歌词中，我们能够看到一个逐渐成熟的Simple Plan。很显然，他们已经不再是一群只会在舞台上活蹦乱跳的毛头小子了。

2003年Yellowcard幸运地签入主流大厂，发行全新大碟《OceanAvenue》。制作人邀来NealAvron操刀坐镇，在首支单曲《WayAway》中快意飙出Emo-Punk的狂放音场，Sean不时倾泻出的小提琴拉奏功力，与失序的合音，都有着可圈可点的表现，并藉此曲鼓励人们努力追求自己的梦想，不要让枯燥烦闷的生活打垮自己！不像一般碎心情歌的《OnlyOne》，则描述理性与女友分手的过程，并试着去谅解与包容！深受乐迷喜爱及MTV超高点播的同名单曲《OceanAvenue》，延续节奏明快激昂的朋克音浪，让Yellowcard的魅力持续发酵到2004年！流畅的慢版之作《EmptyApartment》，感念着失去朋友的淡淡伤感之情；末曲的《BackHome》，陈述Ryan虽不顾一切追逐梦，但仍感远离了家人、失去了安全感、儿时玩伴，呼应出开场曲《WayAway》！言之有物的内容，写实地将你我周遭发生的种种，以正面语词表态出来，没有愤慨怒骂，没有哀声叹气，这就是Yellowcard秉持的摇滚意念！

美国Punk名厂Drive Thru!旗下当属New Found Glory业绩最为傲人，尽管在美国Punk领域他们还无法动摇Green day、Blink-182的地位，但是New Found Glory至少在new skool阵营中成为了商业明星。

美国的Punk拥趸们曾经指责Green day的商业成绩是一种对Punk精神的背叛，但是却是Green day的商业业绩为Punk再次敲开了主流公司的大门，不少地下圈的Punk团体都在那段时期拿到了大公司的唱片合约，Punk复兴运动从另一方面造就了New Skool Punk，让大票有商业野心的Punk乐队有机会受到主流媒体的瞩目。New Found Glory在这一群体里算是成功的一队，尽管这类音乐正在逐渐与Teen pop少年组合的音乐混淆，但是不能说New skool punk是对punk的再一次背叛，音乐的发展根基在于融会，因势利导，所以这或许是下一个Punk巨星年代的过渡。

从音乐上来看，New Found Glory为首的New skool punk乐队，更为浅显的内容，简单悦耳的旋律，甚至相对易于演奏的编曲形式，让青少年也更容易认同并参与其中，只是资深的punk乐迷会觉得这类音乐缺少雄浑内劲。不过这些团体从少年组合类团体那里也学会了漂亮的包装与偶像派头，封套设计又从Hip-hop文化中偷师营造着名车靓女美酒洋房的奢华之气，对青少年的诱惑是不言而喻。

其实New Found Glory不过是中规中矩的Punk-pop，比起Green day这样的大团，却少音乐上更石破天惊的创造力，但是他们始终可以把旋律写得漂亮上口，较那些放底姿态也把旋律写得生涩不堪的后生，已经是功德圆满。

Blink-182是当今美国比较年轻一代的朋克乐队中，在商业上最为成功的乐队之一。Blink-182乐队最早组建于1993年，这只有三个人组成的乐队最初在美国加利福尼亚州南部的Poway成立，当时的名字叫做Blink，由歌手兼吉他手Tom Delonge首先创立，另外两名成员分别是他的朋友，贝斯手Mark Hoppus和鼓手Scott "Mad Dog" Raynor。但是Blink乐队在成立不久之后，他们被告知自己乐队的名字和爱尔兰一支乐队相同，并且有可能因此受到法律方面的指控，Tom Delonge和其他两名成员被迫在乐队名字的后边加上了后缀数字182以示区别，于是就形成了乐队现有的名称Blink-182，至于数字182的含义，乐队成员表示这只是他们随机任意挑选的数字而已，并没有什么特别的含义。

Fall Out Boy recently spoke to Billboard about their new album, Infinity On High. The record is the follow up to their multi-platinum major label debut, From Under The Cork Tree. Guitarist Patrick Stump explained: From song to song there's a completely different feel, but they all make sense in context. They've got a few common points, but overall there's a lot of different voices and perspectives and styles. It would be dishonest for us to hold back any of these elements. Stump described the album's first single "This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race" as "a hip-hop/R&B song, but written as a punk song.." Beyond that, he mentions a "borderline classic rock" as well as a greater use of piano, as well as strings and horns, though he claims that "we were really restrained about it." Guests confirmed so far include hip hop producer Jay-Z, Panic! At The Disco's Ryan Ross and New Found Glory's Chad Gilbert. The record is due out on February 6th, 2007.

Chuck is the third studio album by Canadian rock band Sum 41. The album was released on October 12, 2004. It is the band's last album to feature lead guitarist Dave Baksh until his return in 2015. Chuck peaked at No. 2 on the Canadian Albums Chart and No. 10 on the US Billboard 200, making it the band's highest-charting album until it would be surpassed by Underclass Hero in 2007.

All Killer No Filler is the debut studio album by Canadian rock band Sum 41, released on May 7, 2001. It was certified platinum in the United States, Canada and in the UK.
Despite mixed reviews, the album was a commercial success, peaking at No. 13 on the Billboard 200. The single, "Fat Lip" peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Rock Tracks. In recent years, the album has received highly positive reviews, and has been praised as the album that gained the band success. The album has been considered by critics and fans as a pop punk classic.

2010 release, the fourth album from the Florida-based Melodic Hardcore band. The album was produced by New Found Glory's Chad Gilbert, who also manned the boards on their last effort Homesick.

Neighborhoods is the sixth studio album by the American pop punk band Blink-182, tentatively scheduled for release September 27, 2011 through Geffen Records. Their first album of new material in eight years, its recording followed the band's 2009 reunion after a four-year hiatus. It will be the first Blink-182 album produced entirely by the band members, without the help of an outside record producer.
The album has suffered numerous delays. Although several demos were recorded in 2009, work on the album began in earnest in June 2010. In April 2011 the band cancelled a European tour, as recording of the album was taking longer than expected. As a result, Geffen Records gave the band a July 31 deadline to turn the album in. The record's first single, "Up All Night," premiered July 14, 2011.

Self-professed skate punk Avril Lavigne sings that she'd "rather be anything but ordinary" on her debut. While the fact that she had a record deal by the age of 16 separates her from the pack, too often Let Go's lyrical shortcomings drag the teenager's musically impressive recording entrée into the realm of the typical. The catchy choruses of Go are substantial, though, thanks to Lavigne's riff-driven melodies and powerful vocals, which at times adopt the unorthodox intonation quirks of fellow Canadian Alanis Morrissette. The nuanced, dynamic "Losing Grip," "My World" (which perfectly captures the ennui of suburbia), and the buoyant power-pop blast "Sk8er Boi" are the collection's highlights. But Lavigne's honest yet awkward words weigh down the likes of "Mobile," "I'm with You," and "Naked." "Nobody's Fool," which displays her Pink-like take-me-as-I-am credo, hints that someday Lavigne's lyrics will match the strength of her music. --Annie Zaleski

The Best of Ash’ documents the band’s biggest hits and most loved songs to date. Opening with their breakthrough hit ‘Girl From Mars’, the album also includes such defining Ash songs as the Ivor Novello-winning single ‘Shining Light’, their highest charting single ‘Goldfinger’, the enduringly popular ‘Burn Baby Burn’ and live staple ‘Kung Fu’.

“It was hard for me to watch it for a while as we were going through complete nervous breakdowns trying to deal with it all as we were so young,” says vocalist/guitarist Tim Wheeler. “But it’s a really cool document of that whole time especially as it was a lot harder to make documentaries on the road back then and there was a lot of craziness.”
