《生化危机》系列第八部正统续作，致力于打造空前的生存恐怖体验。剧情接续《生化危机7》，自那次噩梦般的事件之后已有数年，伊森·温特斯已重新找回了一些日常平静的家庭生活。而这种日常却被那位曾经的英雄——身经百战的克里斯·雷德菲尔所打破。

《生化危机7》是CAPCOM制作发行的一款生存恐怖类游戏，于2017年1月24日在PC、XboxOne、PS4平台同步发售。
本作是该主系列第一款以第一人称视角进行的游戏。玩家将扮演“伊森·温特斯”，只身一人前往美国南部的一间废弃农舍，查找3年前失踪、生死未卜的妻子“米娅·温特斯”的消息。

界面就是一个手机屏幕，剧情说的是主角拿到一部手机，必须从手机里找出各种蛛丝马迹，揭发手机主人从事恐怖活动，而证据隐藏在来电记录、短信、照片、社交app中。
比如一开始手机是锁上的，要输入密码才能解锁，但是除了当前日期时间外没有任何提示。这时收到一条短信，说“你马上就要过生日了”，于是我灵机一动输入了当前日期+1天，果然密码正确。
越玩到后来越有一种Big brother is watching you的恐怖感，主角如果遵照提示找齐证据，手机主人就会被判为恐怖分子（但是从游戏中来看他是被冤枉的），但主角也可以选择抗命不从，这时主角反而会被冤枉为恐怖分子。或者寻找办法求助外界。一共有十几种结局的样子。
