Sally Dige is a multidisciplinary artist known for her darkly poetic yet highly danceable electro-pop songs, DIY stylistic videos, design and visual art.
Sally‘s deep and commanding voice, coupled with her analogue-visual-processes and overlapping artistic mediums has formed an identity that oscillates between the edges of aggression and fragility, old and new.
Holding On was created during the time of intense inner turmoil. Despite being stretched to her emotional limits, Sally did not let the weight of her circumstances break her, instead channeling all of her pain and fears into the production of a series of incredibly powerful songs.
Stunningly, Sally used only her voice and a single synth to create this album. Even with so little gear, the songs are anything but minimal. Each song has a minimum of 100 tracks and, for some songs, 100 tracks for just the drum section alone. Every audible sound has 20 other sounds swimming beneath it.
These are songs written for dance floors but are sung about loneliness, death and the meaninglessness of existence. Sally‘s work tows the line between a blissful innocence and a heavy darkness. Think Gina X flavored post punk-disco rubbing against Twitch-era Ministry‘s lost Sade collab or Enya on LSD after a break up.
Holding On is Sally‘s second album, following her debut Hard to Please, out on Avant! in Europe and DKA in North America, with two separate cover designs.

Mareux is a decade long electronic music project from LA based musician and producer Aryan Ashtiani. Releases like “Cold Summer” and “the Perfect Girl” sparked a cult following, particularly in Eastern Europe and South America. In describing Mareux's sound, reviewer Fabrizio Lusso puts it best: “Mareux‘s moody and strongly emotional electronic laden lo-fi approach straddles the line between synth-pop, coldwave and post-punk in a stunning and infectious blend of thick glacial beats, lustrous synth stabs, sparse droning elements, vigorous bleak bass pulsations and a superb passionate voice, flavored by amournful shadowy-goth feel, a seductive 80s flair, and sometimes subtle groovy r&b inflection.”
With a few cult hits under his belt, Mareux is now gearing up to drop the ‘Predestiny’ EP due in Spring 2020, via the newly minted LA based label, I HEARD IT IN PARIS. Following the first single, "Spectral Tease"- a brooding number, fit for peak hours at dance clubs or driving around the city at midnight alone, alike, comes “Gopnik”. Perhaps the darkest track on the EP, the song is an anthem on self-destruction and marginalization by the state. The term “gopnik” is a pejorative used to describe a subsection of youths in Eastern Europe, specifically countries like Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine, who are often jobless and dissatisfied with their lives. This type of destitution leads them to criminal pursuits and drug abuse. “In the production I wanted to capture that feeling of disorder and translate it into a dance track,” says Ashtiani.
To date, the lead singles have garnered support from tastemakers likePost-punk.com, CVLT Nation and Darko The Post Punker. The ‘Predestiny’ EP will be available April 17th.
