Chrystia "Tia" Cabral, known professionally as Spellling, is an American experimental pop musician based in Oakland, California. Cabral released her debut album, Pantheon of Me, in September 2017; Pitchfork felt it was "surely among the most overlooked debuts this calendar year".

Glass Animals are an English psychedelic pop band formed in Oxford in 2010. Led by singer, songwriter, and producer Dave Bayley, the group also features his childhood friends Joe Seaward, Ed Irwin-Singer and Drew MacFarlane. Bayley wrote and produced all three Glass Animals albums.

Blue Hawaii has spent over a decade perfecting their craft. The two met in 2009, at the heart of Montreal's burgeoning underground party scene. Finding their start with lo-fi bedroom recordings, they gradually evolved towards a more uplifting and dance forward sound. The essence of their work is threaded through the confident sanguine vocals and songwriting of Raphaelle “Ra” Standell-Preston, and the distinctive production of Agor "DJ Kirby". They uniquely assemble every aspect of their music together amidst an ocean of separation, with Agor in Berlin, and Ra in Montreal.
‘My Bestfriend's House' continues the joy of good feelings and togetherness that began with 'Under 1 House'. Themes of love and empathy are backed by chugging drums and hypnotic grooves, to enjoy on dance floors and in headphones worldwide. The EP’s first single – “L.O.V.E.” – is a disco-house, free-formed sizzler. Ra’s vocals are silky and powerful on top of a cheeky pulsing disco beat peppered with guitar and sax.
Reunited in August 2021, Agor and Ra wanted to finish the recording of a darker, downtempo full-length they had started in September of 2020. However, given the energy coming out of lockdown and the coincidental finding of an abandoned Yamaha DX27 synth, the... pair decided to put that introspective work on hold and instead whip out a good-vibed follow-up to their last release “Under 1 House”. The duo headed to a cabin north of Montreal but unfortunately had to return the same night during the year's worst rainstorm. The place was in a state of abandon, water running black, a back window smashed in, and an eerie haunted feeling that scared the band into fleeing. This continued to the point of believing a car was following them, their speed increasing to lose what they thought to be a ‘cabin highway chase’. In effect, the first week of their recording retreat was a disaster and, with both members disturbed and confused, the ensuing four songs came from a rapid-fire series of recording sessions in just over a week's time. Perhaps it is this condensed time frame that has made this collection of tracks so specifically electric. For the first time, they collaborated with the radiant songwriter and keyboardist Edwin de Goeij on the tracks “My Bestfriend’s House” and “Danced Into My Life”, who was also the coincidental finder of the illustrious synth. Longtime contributor, the saxophonist Adam Kinner, also graced the recording with his inspired playing on the track “L.O.V.E”.

又写道：
“其中有我的梦，也有某日我坐在别人身旁听到的故事；有我视线内的景观，亦有我的人生与主观；有痛苦、思辨、患得患失，也有一刀两断与毫不留情......这是一个慢慢让重要性层面浮出水面的过程，即便我如此擅长为世界流眼泪，也渐渐意识到爱、能量甚至善意是有限的，正如同生命有期限；而即便学会了切割放弃，也不得不面对毫无选择时的困境。“
再写道：
“那就让我如此生活吧，生命力迸发在悬崖峭壁。”
“她不再属于任何地方，整个大地连成了一片，去哪里都可以，你称之为广袤天地。”
“一无所有，独特的境遇，于边角捕捉些许永恒的闪耀。”
在这本日记里，文字与音乐于此交汇了，激越与思辨碰撞，困境与无尽的想象共存亡。

Venturing to push the boundaries of her primarily synth-based work, SPELLLING took on the ambitious task of orchestrating and self-producing an album that features an ensemble of 31 collaborating musicians. The Turning Wheel incorporates a vast range of rich acoustic sounds that cast SPELLLING’s work into vibrant new dimensions. The double LP is split into two halves - “Above” and “Below.” Lush string quartet shimmer combines with haunting banjo and wandering bassoon leads, as the album progresses from the more jubilant, warm, and dreamy mood of the “Above” tracks to the more chilling and gothic tone of the “Below” tracks. This progression is anchored by SPELLLING’s familiar bewitching vocal style that emphasises the theatrical and folkloric heart of her songwriting.

This Is Acting is the seventh studio album by Australian singer-songwriter Sia. It was released on 29 January 2016 by Inertia, Monkey Puzzle and RCA. The album was preceded by the release of the lead single, "Alive" on 24 September 2015. The album is mainly an electropop album with soul influences. The album is composed of songs written by Sia that were rejected by other artists, such as Adele and Rihanna.
The album received generally positive reviews from music critics, who complimented the big bold beats and Sia’s vocals. However, some critics did not like the fact that the songs were not very personal and the messages of the songs could be taken in different ways.

Steve Thomas Lacy-Moya, better known as Steve Lacy, is an American musician, singer-songwriter, and record producer. He was born in Compton, California and gained recognition as a member of the Grammy-nominated R&B band The Internet in 2015. In 2017, Lacy released his debut EP, a song-series, titled Steve Lacy's Demo.

涉过《情绪禁区》，曾轶可在2021年新专辑《Burning》里走向一条不常被人选择的路。伴随着海拔一起爬升，在逐渐稀薄的空气里，见证植被的变化、感受着温度的降低，在这条路上深深浅浅的刻录出情绪，步步迈向她个人里程中的又一个峰顶。
「爱情」正是这一条歧路的名字。是否能穿过这一条歧路，正是曾轶可检验自己是否如梭罗所说的“生活过”的方式。
曾轶可的专辑叙事是「唯爱主义」的。
这样的「唯爱主义」平衡着一种对立的关系。冷酷凛冽的外在与深情而《炙热》的内里并不协调，在反差的温度里，这样的爱情灼伤了皮肤（《skin》），是向爱人发出《让我看见疯狂的你》的一种祈求。
而这份对立，却又隐秘不宣，“这一副冰冷的寂寞的躯壳”，唯在《解剖》时刻才得以外现“它的心也曾经燃烧过”的真相。键盘的乖戾音色在最后一分钟逐渐鸠占鹊巢，替代了吉他粗粝的琴声——乐器之间绷紧的动态关系，又何尝不是感情中自我、彼此、抑或是多方间的相互博弈。
这样的「唯爱主义」对抗着一种残酷的环境。曾轶可敏感的捕捉到了现代城市生活如《机器》一般的真实细节。“雾霾笼罩”“灰色空间”“病毒侵袭”……在这阴暗的底色中，她选择做一个神秘而倔强的《Dancer In The Dark》。
“甜言蜜语”是便利超商里早已下架的商品，片刻《艳遇》注定速朽，带来的欢愉抵不过永恒的孤独。麻木的“每个人”失去了真切的肉身观感，不再需要“眼见为实”，《流言》成为了手机屏幕里贩卖的畅销品。
这样的「唯爱主义」袒露出一种决绝的存在。不惮于展现感情中的依赖，曾轶可空灵的嗓音配着简单的钢琴弹奏，唱出了感情如同《木棉》“需要土壤需要养分”一般的纯粹。随着钢琴逐渐急促、鼓点密集的响起，这份爱情成为了一场明明“不能离开你”却又“说过不要你”的内在拉扯。
爱得越浓情蜜意，越分裂出心有余悸的恐惧，在这样的不调和中不得不自保，做出感情中残酷的预判：《You'll be leaving me》。吉他的失真与延音和贝斯沉实的暗淡底色构成的乐句，近乎撕心裂肺的内心纠结，与曾轶可纤细的声线构成情感中分裂的两半。
在《Anti ! Yico》和《情绪禁区》之后，曾轶可更娴熟的把握住了音乐制作的「方术」，歌曲创作的「审美」更加落到实处。
在2021年专辑《Burning》中，曾轶可想表达的故事感，并不单纯的只来自于歌词。扛起了整张专辑「制作人」一角后，在十首歌里囊括了另类、电子、摇滚、梦幻流行等多元风格，构筑出了个人风格炽烈的独立之音。
丰富的器乐编排、音色的选取、空间感的营造、旋律间一张一弛呈现的呼吸感……与制式化的流行音乐彻底划清了界限。曾轶可把握住了整张专辑的气质与形态，达到了“形神统一”的音乐把控力，亦突破了有关个人身份的一道门槛。
在「方术」与「审美」融合后，曾轶可有关爱情的表达得以透过处于空间中的介质，点点、片片、面面的落在林中，照亮每一位听者的路。
这不是一条常被人选择的路，却是曾轶可的路。
