Pharoah Sanders is an American jazz saxophonist. A member of John Coltrane's groups of the mid-1960s, Sanders is known for his overblowing, harmonic, and multiphonic techniques on the saxophone, as well as his use of "sheets of sound".

The Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio, also known as DLO3, is an American soul-jazz group founded in 2015. The band has released two albums. Their debut album, titled Close But No Cigar, charted at number one on the U.S. Contemporary Jazz Albums chart.

Dexter Gordon的父亲是位医生，13岁学吹竖笛，他的老师是Lloyd Reese。他第一个加入的重要团体是Lionel Hampton的乐团(1940-43年)，在当时有另外一位萨克斯好手Illinois Jacquet，因此并没有很好的表现机会。他在1944年在Louis Armstrong大乐坛几个月月的时间。1944年离开了Armstrong，然后在12月的时候来到纽约的Billy Eckstine 的乐队，在这个当时很受欢迎的乐队待了八个月，这个乐队的好手甚多，像是Dizzy Gilleapie、Gene Ammons等人。1945年来到Art Blakey的乐团中，当时的团员都是不到25岁的年轻乐手。
1947年来到洛杉机，组了一个十个人的乐团，其中有Teddy Edwards、Wardell Gray等人。50年代期间因嗑药，入狱服刑，中断了一些时间。出狱后，为Blue Note唱片公司继续录制专集。 1962年移居欧洲，在欧洲也录了很多精采的专集，由Blue Note和SteepleChase唱片公司推出，像是bop爵士乐的经典佳作Our Man in Paris，就是在欧洲的作品。1976年回到纽约，受到乐迷热烈的欢迎。
Gordon的SAX音色非常的饱满，当他吹奏起Ballad时，听起来非常的滑顺。不过，要快的时候，他也可以不拖泥带水地射出一连串的音符。
1. Manha de Carnaval (L.Bonfa/A.Maria)带有BOSSANOVA味的轻快乐曲，但是多了vibraphone(结构类似木琴，但是以金属块取代木块)，味道就比较特殊，有轻飘飘的感觉。跟SAX搭配起来，一重一轻，相当特别。
2. Who Can I Turn to (When Nobody Needs Me) (L.Bricusse/A.Newley)看名字就知道是一首催情慢歌，SAX缓缓地述说音符，与vibraphone呼应地对话，不愧为好 Ballad。
4. Shiny Stockings (F.Foster)发亮的长袜？歌名确实让人搞不懂，但却是一首非常swing的曲子。
6. Le Coiffeur (D.Gordon)由法国小调改编，很少在JAZZ中听到这种曲风。
