“2+2=5”和“Sit Down. Stand Up.”创作于两年前，开始阶段如慢慢上涨的洪水，并没有感官上的宣泄，在一阵低沉的压抑之后Thom Yorke终于爆发。“Sail to the Moon”加入了钢琴的伴奏，灵魂乐渗透了整首歌曲。专辑中的破碎，游离，迷幻和挑战性等方面与乐队上一张专辑“Amnesiac”几乎没有什么变化。 “A Wolf at the Door”前奏清新，但从Thom Yorke发声的那一刻起，其连续不断的呻吟使人产生了头晕目眩、半睡半醒的感觉。Thom Yorke运用自如的假声和迷幻的音乐风格，可以深刻的感受到Pink Floyd和R.E.M.对radiohead的影响。
这张RadioHead发行于2003年的唱片有个我喜欢的中文名字-<贼鹊篇>,我想这是因为我喜欢村上的缘故.实际上,这个奇怪的名字的确来自于村上春树的小说.乐队的贝司手Colin　Greenwood说:"我看过村上春树的<发条鸟年代记—鹊贼篇>.书里的概念是我一直想传达的:黑暗会笼罩人类,而人们根本不自觉,他们觉得自己正在伸张正义,但这就是法西斯和无知的开端.这对我而言,才是真的'贼'."2003年的春天,这张唱片的原名在战火纷飞的日子里诞生.当时全球一片反战的声浪,"Hail　to　the　thief"是在布什胜出选举后美国群众反对呼声中的一个口号,讽刺暴君的诞生.
作为RadioHead十年来的地6张大碟,虽然有一个颇具反抗意味的标题,但在音乐上却与十年前"爬行"时的狂燥血和少年心气相去甚远.气质上,似乎更加接近于上张专辑<Kid A>的电子迷幻.温和,阴暗,荒凉的实验色彩依然弥漫在整张唱片中.微细的电子噪音不断冲击着耳膜,声音悠远,色彩暗淡.虽然在有的曲目里,比如"There There",还能听出些依稀的力度,然而,也全都笼罩在一层迷雾般的电子糖衣之中了.主音Thom　Yorke的声线如古堡幽灵般游荡,更是把抑郁发挥到了极致.另一首"Myxomatosis"作为整张唱片中最为"摇滚"的曲目,其中充斥着变形的Fuzzed　bass声效,宛如那剂众多摇滚乐手都尝试过的致幻药-LSD.
而在歌词上,则也是写得精致而充满隐喻.虽然相较于之前的<Kid A>,好象是正常了许多.但是却都出奇的冗长.由于外语水平的限制,至今没能看懂一首完整的歌词.在每首歌的标题之后,还有个奇怪的副标题,更是显示出神秘的实验主义色彩.
实际上，或许你会认为我并不了解真正的RadioHead.在2000年那张迷幻又迷幻的<Kid A>问世之后,许多人带着失望离开了RadioHead.而我却恰好是那个时候认识了这支异质的乐队.是在某本杂志上看到<Kid A>的介绍,唱片的封面让我印象深刻.然后,第二天,就在音像店里看到了这张唱片.还是高中生的我居然想也没想就花N十大元买下了,奇怪.于是坠入 RadioHead编织的电幻深渊,无可抑止.
我想我只是喜欢这样的RadioHead.抑郁的,阴暗的,迷乱的RadioHead.虽然很多曾经喜欢他们的人因为这样的转变而离他们而去.然而我却是喜欢的.我觉得,他们就是这样一群神经质的孩子,纤细,敏感,抑郁.引用一个已经离开 RadioHead的网友说的：(他们的)音乐极尽压抑郁闷之能,让你在这样的听觉效果中自残!仿佛是面对着那永远无法征服的黑暗,你所能做的,唯有睡着或是死亡.

Hot Hot Heat is an indie-rock band from Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. They were formed in 1999, and the band's name was thought up by Paul. The band currently comprises Steve Bays (vocals and keyboards), Paul Hawley (drums) and Dustin Hawthorne (bass). Luke Paquin (guitar) has recently replaced former guitarist, Dante DeCaro, and is currently touring with the band.

今年的确是英伦音乐丰收的一年，我们看到了许多老将的复出，当然也有许多崭露头角的新人，而最轰动的莫过于这对临时组合，之前我已经大幅报道了这次合作，而且也让大家提前欣赏了他们的Ep作品，The Rascals也许对大家来说还相对陌生，我本人非常喜欢，只是现在越来越觉得他们的音乐有浓重的猴子味了，激进复古的朋克口味，突出的吉他Riff无论从演艺技巧上来说甚至都可以说是在模仿，那其实并不是我想要的。不知道Alex给他们灌输了多少理念，这次倒好，乾脆直接把领头的Kane拉过来合作，难道真的有点相见恨晚的感觉？前几天已经听过了专辑中的大部分歌曲，不过知道今天才收齐，按照Alex自己所说的，这会是张偏流行的作品， Bacharach-style pop？不清楚是啥风格，又或是创造他们自己所独特的风格来膜拜那些他们所欣赏的乐队，听来比较夸大，傲慢，甚至被外界评论为愚蠢的想法，但你还是不得不佩服他们的无畏。其实仔细看看Alex所写的歌词，简简单单大多透露出这次合作的愉快和舒心之旅，能找到Kane这种知音似乎比得大奖还要过瘾。而 Alex，Kane的和声真的可以说配合的相当不错，说不上唯美动听，但至少难以释怀，蠢蠢欲动的情感迸发，随着飞驰的鼓声和吉他的拨弄让整个境界得以升华，对我来说，没有辜负自己的好奇心，也没有辜负这次看热闹的人。

When they first hit the underground scene, the Pixies were like an exotic drink that hid its sweetness behind a ferocious bite. Death to the Pixies was the first Pixies best-of compilation, released by 4AD in the UK on October 6, 1997 and 4AD/Elektra the following day in the United States to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the band's debut. It covered the years 1987 to 1991. It is now out of print, having been replaced by the 2004 compilation Wave of Mutilation: Best of Pixies. A limited edition of the compilation also included a second CD with a live performance taken from Vredenburg, Utrecht, Netherlands on September 25, 1990.

When Rough Trade reissued the Pixies' seminal full-length debut album, Surfer Rosa, on CD, they added the terrific mini-album Come on Pilgrim as a bonus. While it's nice to have these two records on one disc, the sequencing of Come on Pilgrim after Surfer Rosa is a little disconcerting, since the two albums each have distinctive sounds that clash slightly. Steve Albini's production of Surfer Rosa is metallic and spare — it's in black and white, with no shades of grey and no color. Come on Pilgrim, on the other hand, is filled with greys and colors, and while the contrast between the two is certainly interesting, it would be more enlightening if the mini-LP was placed before Surfer Rosa. Nevertheless, some fans might like having both albums on one disc, but buying them individually is a better move and, in any case, a little more cost-effective as well.

Listen is the fourth studio album by British rock band The Kooks. It is scheduled to be released on 1 September 2014 through Virgin EMI Records. It is the band's first album to feature new drummer Alexis Nunez who joined in 2012, replacing Paul Garred.

Their 1992 reunion featuring members Tom Verlaine, Richard Lloyd, Fred Smith, and Billy Ficca.

The Smiths is the debut studio album by English rock band The Smiths, recorded in 1983 and released on 20 February 1984 by record label Rough Trade. After the original production by Troy Tate was felt to be inadequate, John Porter re-recorded the album in both London and Manchester during breaks in the band's UK tour during September 1983.
The album was well received by the critics as well as the public; it reached number two on the UK Albums Chart and stayed on the chart for 33 weeks. It established The Smiths as a prominent band in the 1980s music scene in the United Kingdom.

"Somebody That I Used to Know" is a song by Australian singer and songwriter Gotye from his third studio album Making Mirrors, and features New Zealand-born singer Kimbra. The song was written by Gotye himself, lyrically about his experiences he had in broken relationships. The song was released on 6 July 2011 as the second and lead single off the album.
The song was released into critical acclaim by music critics and a surprising success in Australia, peaking at number one in the country for two weeks so far. The song received other success in European countries and New Zealand, peaking at the top 10 single charts there.
It is Gotye and Kimbra's highest charting, selling and their first number one song in Australia, causing their previous singles and albums charting at the top 100 in Australia too.

48:13 is the fifth studio album by British rock band Kasabian. The album, produced by the band's guitarist Sergio Pizzorno and named after its total running time, was released in Germany on 6 June 2014 and in the UK on 9 June 2014. It is promoted by the lead single "Eez-eh". The album entered at number one on the UK Albums Chart in its first week of release. It's the band's fourth consecutive UK number one album. The second single, "bumblebeee", was released on 3 August 2014. The video, directed by Alex Courtes, was released in late July.

Howl is a 2005 album by Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. It is their third studio album and was released on August 22, 2005. The record was released in the UK and Europe by Echo and by RCA in the U.S. (distributed through RED Distribution), Australia, Japan and the rest of the world.
While still staying true to their origins this album demonstrates maturity as a band. Howl infuses blues, country, and gospel throughout, stemming from their love of Americana less apparent in their 2001 and 2003 releases.
An extended version of the song "Howl" (which runs 6:12, as opposed to the 4:20 length of the album version) appears on the soundtrack to the 2007 film Southland Tales.
