Hot Hot Heat is an indie-rock band from Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. They were formed in 1999, and the band's name was thought up by Paul. The band currently comprises Steve Bays (vocals and keyboards), Paul Hawley (drums) and Dustin Hawthorne (bass). Luke Paquin (guitar) has recently replaced former guitarist, Dante DeCaro, and is currently touring with the band.

今年的确是英伦音乐丰收的一年，我们看到了许多老将的复出，当然也有许多崭露头角的新人，而最轰动的莫过于这对临时组合，之前我已经大幅报道了这次合作，而且也让大家提前欣赏了他们的Ep作品，The Rascals也许对大家来说还相对陌生，我本人非常喜欢，只是现在越来越觉得他们的音乐有浓重的猴子味了，激进复古的朋克口味，突出的吉他Riff无论从演艺技巧上来说甚至都可以说是在模仿，那其实并不是我想要的。不知道Alex给他们灌输了多少理念，这次倒好，乾脆直接把领头的Kane拉过来合作，难道真的有点相见恨晚的感觉？前几天已经听过了专辑中的大部分歌曲，不过知道今天才收齐，按照Alex自己所说的，这会是张偏流行的作品， Bacharach-style pop？不清楚是啥风格，又或是创造他们自己所独特的风格来膜拜那些他们所欣赏的乐队，听来比较夸大，傲慢，甚至被外界评论为愚蠢的想法，但你还是不得不佩服他们的无畏。其实仔细看看Alex所写的歌词，简简单单大多透露出这次合作的愉快和舒心之旅，能找到Kane这种知音似乎比得大奖还要过瘾。而 Alex，Kane的和声真的可以说配合的相当不错，说不上唯美动听，但至少难以释怀，蠢蠢欲动的情感迸发，随着飞驰的鼓声和吉他的拨弄让整个境界得以升华，对我来说，没有辜负自己的好奇心，也没有辜负这次看热闹的人。

来自英国布莱顿 (Brighton) 的The Kooks是一支相当新锐的后朋克和另类摇滚乐团，乐队的四位成员包括 主唱兼吉他手Luke Pritchard，主音吉他手Hugh Harris，贝斯手Max Rafferty和鼓手Paul Garred。2003年，4位成员在Brighton现代音乐学院结识并立即成立了the Kooks乐队。他们的处女专辑《Inside In/Inside Out》于2006年2月7日发行。并在英国专辑榜上获得了第9名的好成绩。而2006年3月27日发表的单曲《naive》更是获得英国单曲榜上第2 名。

虽然他们的首张专辑销量与Franz Ferdinand、Keane有一定差距，但是媒体却一点都没有看低他们，这也证明了他们的音乐是有一定水平的。如果说Keane比较贴近流行摇滚，那Kasabian就是音乐顽童了，四个来自莱切斯特的小伙子，对Oasis的极度喜爱在各种采访中都能看的出来。他们的音乐是多样的，也许是因为少年时受到brit-pop、电音甚至hip-hop等各种风格的影响。领跑单曲《CLUB FOOT》里面我们可以见识到Electro-Rock,而在 I.D.里面我们又可以闻到迷幻的味道，到了cut off又转成了hip-hop了，这就是Kasabian，虽然他们并没有带来一场革命，但他们的自信在近年的英伦里是很少见的，这也为英伦摇滚注入了一剂强心剂。音乐权威Q杂志对他们的评语也证明了对这四个小伙子前景的看好。

Howl is a 2005 album by Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. It is their third studio album and was released on August 22, 2005. The record was released in the UK and Europe by Echo and by RCA in the U.S. (distributed through RED Distribution), Australia, Japan and the rest of the world.
While still staying true to their origins this album demonstrates maturity as a band. Howl infuses blues, country, and gospel throughout, stemming from their love of Americana less apparent in their 2001 and 2003 releases.
An extended version of the song "Howl" (which runs 6:12, as opposed to the 4:20 length of the album version) appears on the soundtrack to the 2007 film Southland Tales.
Initial versions of the CD released in the U.S. are copy controlled.

Baby 81 is an album by Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. It is their fourth studio album and was released on April 30, 2007 in Europe and on May 1, 2007 in the U.S.. The album features a harder, more raw sound compared with their previous record Howl. It was also a studio comeback for drummer Nick Jago who was unable to participate during the recordings of Howl (other than the last track recorded during the sessions, 'Promise'). A DualDisc edition of the album was set to be released on May 1 in the U.S.; however, it has since been canceled.
The album debuted at number 46 on the U.S. Billboard 200, selling about 14,000 copies in its first week.[1]
The album title refers to Baby 81, a survivor of the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake.
The track "Weapon Of Choice" is featured in the bonus setlist in Guitar Hero: World Tour and as downloadable content for Rock Band.

B.R.M.C. is the self-titled debut album by Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, released on Virgin Records on April 3, 2001. This first release made an immediate impact through the music world, making them part of the 'garage revolution' that The Strokes spawned in the early 2000s. Although the album wasn't as popular as The Strokes's debut, it earned the band a stable fanbase.
The first 35 seconds of "Love Burns" incorporates a section of the song "TV Loop (Deep Down)", later released on the "Whatever Happened to My Rock and Roll (Punk Song)" double-7-inch single and on the Screaming Gun EP.

Beat the Devil's Tattoo is the upcoming sixth album by Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, set for release on March 8, 2010 in Europe and on March 9, 2010 in North America. It is the first full-length on the band's own Abstract Dragon label, in partnership with Vagrant Records and Cooperative Music Group.
