"Rumour Has It" is a song by the English singer-songwriter Adele from her second studio album, <21>. The song was written by Adele and Ryan Tedder. The song is the fourth single of the album in the Netherlands.
"Rumour Has It" is a percussion-driven Jazz number that Adele described as a "bluesy pop stomping song". She explained that the song was not inspired by the media, but was aimed at her own friends, who frequently spread rumours about her break-up with her boyfriend. "Rumour Has It" contrasts with the second Tedder-collaborated song, and the album's third track, "Turning Tables", produced by Jim Abbiss. The song was also promoted on ABC Family's The Lying Game. American singer Jeremih covered the song on Billboard's Mashup Mondays.
Despite not being released as a single, "Rumour Has It" has charted on various formats, including the Rock Songs chart peaking at #28 and the Triple A chart, where it reached the top position for a week. It has also charted on the Billboard Hot 100 at #96.
