Badlands is the debut studio album by American singer and songwriter Halsey, released on August 28, 2015 by Astralwerks and Capitol.

American recording artist, singer-songwriter Halsey is about to start the promotion of her forthcoming second studio album “hopeless fountain kingdom“, which is expected to be released on June 2nd via Astralwerks and Capitol Records as the follow-up to 2015’s acclaimed debut “BADLANDS”.
The proper lead single and the first taste of the project is the song “Now or Never“, which was premiered on April 4th with its proper music video directed by Halsey herself and Sing J Lee. It was released as instant grat along the pre-order of the album on April 5th.

本名Ashley Nicolette Frangipane的Halsey，从小除了学习古典乐器以外，也在充斥著音乐的环境中长大；非裔父亲酷爱嘻哈与饶舌，拥有美国义大利血统的母亲则是拥抱The Cure、Nirvana等另类摇滚，使得Halsey的成长过程，受到多种音乐风格的潜移默化。青少年时期，更从Lady Gaga的作品中奠定了自信，还包括Kanye West、The Weeknd、Amy Winehouse等巨星，六续带给了Halsey一次次的转变，并从中慢慢地精华吸收，转化为属于个人的独特风格。

The next and third official single from the project is the anticipated collaboration with Fifth Harmony’s member Lauren Jauregui. It’s called “Strangers” and it was launched as instant grat with the pre-order of the album on May 26th.
