Jason Derulo原名Jason Desrouleaux,于1989年9月21日在美国佛罗里达州迈阿密出生，父母皆为海地人。他改变了他原名的拼写作为自己的艺名。Derulo在他五岁的时候就开始表演并在他八岁时写了他的第一首歌《crush on you》。年轻时学习歌剧，戏剧，芭蕾。为学习艺术他进入了位于福罗里达州的迪拉德中心，毕业于在纽约的美国音乐戏剧学院。12岁时，Derülo遇见了他未来的经理弗兰克哈里斯，一个法学院的学生，谁同时帮助他提高了他的篮球技巧。

Jason Derulo has announced that "Tattoos," his third studio album, will be released on Sept. 24 through Warner Bros. Records, and has also debuted the new 2 Chainz-assisted track "Talk Dirty."
Unlike his latest hit "The Other Side," the new song finds the pop singer taking risks with a horn-based hook that leans into his R&B influences. "Its just a shocking song," Derulo says of "Talk Dirty" in a press statement. "People will be thinking Hmm, really?! Its very out there, but it was so fun."
