As with everywhere in the world: where the nudist beach ends, gay cruising begins and this is the largest cruising spot in Portugal. In the vast bushes behind the railway track, guys from all over Europe and beyond, meet for some fun and relaxation.

We live in times where Internet and social media rule our lives. Gays have embraced online dating and beyond a casual hook up, for some our online profiles and exposed body feed our narcissistic and exhibitionist side, while for others is an endless voyeuristic hunt. PIX is a series of flickering images (faceless-selfies) of 2500 gay men building a three minutes animation portraying what is happening in the "marketplace of desire". Thousands of male bodies in typical male poses are put together creating the mosaic of one body. A mirror, an exposed torso and the promise for NSA fun have become the synonym to today's gay behavior with dating. But is that the rule or just a temporary -even necessary- phase into a gay man's life? Does this gay on-line behavior help for better communication or does it isolate homosexuals from the "normality" gay men try to achieve all these years? Is the need to connect emotionally been taken over by the need to push on the "load more guys" button? No three-minutes animation can answer these questions for you. Only you can, starting the next time you pose in front of the mirror.

Solos portraits a diversity of characters expressing themselves sexually. They speak about their fetishes, connection and fantasies. Underwear, leather, rubber, jeans, socks, boots, big penises, tattoos, hairy, extended ejaculations, ropes, childhood memories and more. Some take this opportunity to express their exhibitionism on camera going all the way from unzipping to cumming. Filming the participants and looking at the footage on screen is one of Antonio's fetishes. Solos is a series of videos of people who are touched by Antonio's work and voluntarily want to be involved in his films.

Nude Dudes is about my experience during my visit in Tel Aviv. I was hosted by Matan and Menache, two young guys who practice nudism in their own house. While being flatmates they openly expose their sexual interests to each other and their guests. Managing their online dating profiles is a part of their daily routine. I was intrigued by their non-tabooed dynamic. They brought me to the nudists beach where to my delight I saw a similar openness from the crowd. Away from the open Mediterranean waters, an unforgettable experience was swimming in the Dead Sea with two guys I had met at the festival I was attending at the time. Connection, freedom, sex, elevated senses and feelings, ejaculating life in those dead waters. Its unique composition transported all three of us to another stimulating dimension. After all, no matter the conflicts in the area I felt connected and open for a better well being like the locals do.

ECOSEXUAL is a poetic monologue set in the Portuguese Mediterranean coast in Algarve about loving and making love with nature. It presents the male body as erotic object and as thinking, feeling subject. Through the senses of taste, touch, smell and sight, the protagonist loses himself in a communion with the natural world.

There is always the first time you are called Daddy. It's more than just a question of age. Leather Daddies, Daddy Bears and Daddies that don't fit into the usual categories. Ten gay men over forties were filmed on Super 8 getting undressed... They talk about their Daddy identity, gay relationships, polyamory, their cock and appetite for sex. It is not just Daddy/Son, there are also guys in a number of relationships, or men in triads or foursomes. Antonio Da Silva was in town for the first time to attend Frameline San Francisco LGBT film festival 2013. By the second day of the festival, it became clear to him that he had to shoot some of the men who were filling the iconic Castro cinema and celebrating the final overturn of Proposition 8, the ban on same-sex marriage.

This documentary short film was made in collaboration with Miguel Arroja who had been capturing action on camera since 2001. After he saw my work he wanted to share his precious footage with me. I was impressed with the activities at the place. I went there in 2013 to experience it myself and do more filming.

It is a multi-textural film with the visual appeal of an old school anthropological nature documentary, set in the male garden of Eden. A lost paradise of the Brazilian Amazon. The sex, the desire and the chasing are universal primitive animal instincts. This film portrays a territory free from taboos, where all types of tribes and a diverse typology of men communicate through the universal language of cruising. It is playfully animalistic but also very human, a cruising performance with explicit sex.

Thirty-five Portuguese dancers undress in front of the camera. They become the object of desire with a sensual provocative performance. Eclectic dance disciplines help this film to explore an exhibitionist view of the male nude. This is a statement about the current financial situation in Portugal and the lack of funding to support artistic initiatives. All contributions from this film will be given to the participants of Dancers film, to encourage and inspire them, for them to give you one more private dance! These artists are not afraid to challenge the general thinking about male nudity and they showcase the potential of creative Portuguese performance arts.

A cross between a road-trip in Portugal and a summer love story, shot in super 8 film. It is the junction of a poetic narrative with factual and personal elements. Julian is represented here as the “noble savage” of Rousseau: nature is his natural environment. Julian is like Adam, the embodiment of various myths created by mankind.

This film portrays the journey of a “straight” married man who has the habit of cruising in the park next to his work place during his lunch break.
He is a hunter however he is also hunted. Mostly he plays with other discrete married man, they enjoy looking at each others hard erections, mutual masturbation, sucking and fucking.
