Introduction
This English/Chinese bilingual guidebook and its accompanying workbook has been written specifically for Chinese-speaking scholars publishing their research in the Humanities and Social Sciences. With over 10 years’ experience of proofreading journal papers, conference papers, research proposals, and theses, the author has a very clear understanding of the types of problems that Chinese speakers face when writing academic English.
This guidebook aims to be a very practical, easy-to-use, step-by-step guide to the process of writing research papers/theses, with particular emphasis on the most problematic issues for Chinese speakers. It can be used as a self-study guide, or could also be used as an additional teaching resource in academic writing classes.
