Explosions in the SkyやMogwai、envyを彷彿とさせる極めて美しい旋律を奏でるギター。トランス、テクノ、ドラムンベース、ハウスなどのクラブミュージックを連想させるダンサブルなボトムラインを形成するドラムとベース。

Tokyo's Shuhari creates instrumental melodies that are simultaneously ambient and energetic, transcending the traditional limits of post-rock. Shuhari was originally formed by guitarist Kohei and drummer Kotaro in 2008, and bassist Kodai joined soon after in 2009. When they were looking for an additional guitar player, they met Taichi, who produced sounds on the guitar that closely matched the direction they hoped to go in. In 2009, they started the "Tsuruginomai" music festival, and in 2010 they recorded their first independent, self-titled CD, Shuhari. Taichi decided to leave the band in 2011 in order to pursue a different career. Shortly after, in 2011, Shuhari went on their first tour of Taiwan, playing at the Spring Scream festival in Kenting. In the summer of 2011, they are scheduled to play shows in Beijing along with Tokyo's ONC and Half Mile Radius from Taiwan, and they hope to continue traveling and playing music overseas in the future.

Black Emperor, Explosions in the Sky, Mogwai, Max Richter, Ólafur Arnalds, Jóhann Jóhannsson, Eric Whitacre, David Wiseら数多くの海外アーティスト、作曲家の影響を受ける。結成から今日に至るまで都内でのライヴを中心に活動を続け、2012年にはTokyo Jupiter所属のポストハードコアバンドThe Black Heart Rebellion（ベルギー）との初共演を果たす。過去に1枚のみデモを発表、今秋遂に1stフルアルバム「On The Eternal Boundary」をリリースする。

Tokyo’s Mono is a peculiar group. While most bands offer up their sincerest and most genuine recordings in their infancy and spend the rest of their careers trying desperately to rediscover their youthful energy, Mono's trajectory has been quite the opposite. This flourish of hopeful creativity was captured by Steve Albini in the form of the eight pieces that make up their third album Walking Cloud And Deep Red Sky, Flag Fluttered And The Sun Shined. More lush and orchestral than previous recordings, the album couples an overall slow-melting ambience with a thunderous drive that reaches far greater heights than the band’s earlier work.
