2016 release from the Canadian punks. Sum 41 return with their first album in over five years with 13 Voices. The quintet is back with their signature choruses and metallic guitar riffs that fans have come to love throughout the band's career. The album is the first to feature guitarist Dave Baksh since 2004's Chuck and the first to feature second drummer Frank Zummo, who replaced founding member Steve Jocz in 2015. It is also Sum 41's first album as a five-piece and all new lineup, as it features both Baksh and Tom Thacker on lead guitar.

Grammy nominated rock band Sum 41 is back and bigger than ever with their seventh studio album Order In Decline. Written, produced, mixed, and engineered by frontman Deryck Whibley, Order In Decline is a burst of uninhibited feeling, a page out of his journal, a window into his soul that reflects on extremely personal and vulnerable events. The album is undoubtedly Sum 41's heaviest and most aggressive album in their storied career, while also being it's most dynamic and raw.

樂手宣言要另組一隊不是side-project的樂隊，聽起來，可以說他「拎得起、
放得低」是一位真漢子，可是，這隊新樂隊的首張專輯的推出日期，正正就是
這位樂手的舊隊友發表新作品的日期。你說，這是有理想還是逼得已？
經歷過90年代中期加洲punk-pop浪潮的樂迷，一定會認識，甚至熱愛加洲樂隊
Blink-182。甚至是本地年青樂迷初嚐外國音樂必聽的一隊樂隊，在此不多作
介紹。早於02年，我們見到主音結他手Tom DeLonge與鼓手Travis Barker
所組成的Box Car Racer這隊四人side-project，把原音和更旋律化的pop-punk
灌注。作為Blink的樂迷，大部份也喜見這個情況，沒擔心過Blink會因此
解散。首先，Box Car Racer很久也沒有新聞，其次，於03年，Blink推出了
新專輯，大眾只視這張Blink的同名大碟為Blink音樂路途上的一次總結，並沒
有甚麼作怪。
隨後的一段時間，Blink除了減少了現場演出外，Barker的嚴重受傷，Blink減
少集體曝光，那是Blink三子的大休時間，至少，外界是這樣解讀。
實情，又是否如此呢？Delonge似乎漸漸已行動去解釋。在所謂的大休期間，
Delonge認為他幾近沒有事業、沒有樂隊、沒有音樂，這樣是不行的，他需要
作出選擇，一、是繼續留戀於樂隊的頂峰狀態，繼續沉淪。二、是製造新的
音樂，踏進另一階段。他選擇了後者，並迅速找來前Box Car Racer伙伴結他手
David Kennedy、加洲同鄉，前Offspring/Alkaline Trio/Rocket From The Crypt
鼓手Atom Willard以及前Distillers低音結他手Ryan Sinn，一起踏進錄音室，
他們知道，可以嘗試任何音樂。Delonge也知道，這是改變他一生的一年。
一番排練和討論後，他們希望製作一張令人閉上雙眼，可以讓人逃離現實生活的
專輯。讓人感到舒服，讓人有飛翔於雲層的感覺，是他們希望做到的。組成
如此超級的樂隊，理想、野心都表然於胸，若是side-project，何須這樣大陣
仗？06年年初，他就向外界承認新樂隊Angels and Airwaves絕對不是一個side-
project，而是他的下半生。這樣，不就承認了他再次與兩位好友組樂隊的機會很
微了嗎？
最近一期Kerrang就訪問了AVA(Delonge把中間的A調轉了作為標誌，因為這跟他的
女兒名字簡寫一樣)，而Delonge就極力澄清他與Barker和低音結他手Mark Hoppus
的關係沒有改變。那邊廂，Hoppus就承認很久沒有與Delonge談話了。而Hoppus與
Barker的新樂隊Plus-44的新歌No It Isn't就憑歌寄意"Please understand/This
isn't just goodbye/This is I cant stand you/This is where the road /
crashed into the ocean/，誰真誰假，你說呢？
也無怪乎Delonge對AVA如此賣力，而且整張專輯的宣傳、市場策略及鋪排，都顯露
了「不想敗給別人」的心態。以戰爭作為樂隊這一期的主題，由專輯的第一首歌
"Valkyrie Missile"，歌名就是冷戰時期用來攜帶核武的武器。先行單曲"The
Advantures"PV也以戰艦作為主題，而官方網頁、唱片封套，也令人聯想到「大堆頭」
、「大製作」等名詞。更誇張的是，樂隊正在製作一套電影，是以二戰作背境的
Delonge自傳。真是未推出也不知甚麼胡蘆賣甚麼藥。除此之外，專輯中也有講述神、
悲劇愛情等嚴肅主題。Delonge老早就承認《We Don't Need to Whisper》
絕對不是一張punk-pop專輯，甚至連Blink加上Box CarRacer也不比他們旋律化，
哇，這算是挑戰嗎？
Delonge急不及待就在自家的blog上向廣大樂迷呼籲包容，一邊訴自己童年悲慘，
一邊希望他的支持者開放一點、正面一點，又一次強調這次不是punk-rock調子
「因為我已經做過了。」讓人很難了解他當時的心情又說「我有一個念頭，這是
一次新的經歷去啟發你們，相信我，我不會令你們失望。」真的不令人失望，
因為AVA已經成為近期於KROQ電台十大最期待演出單位之一。而於今年的「North
American Tour」中就與Taking Back Sunday一起擔正。這樣是理想的初步實現，
還是走過絕路的一線光明？

Conventional Weapons is a forthcoming compilation series to be released by the American alternative rock band My Chemical Romance, between 2012–2013.
On September 18, 2012, Frank Iero announced through the band's official website a new project entitled Conventional Weapons.
The project revolves around 10 unreleased songs that were recorded in 2009, prior to the making of Danger Days. The band will release two songs a month for five months from the Conventional Weapons sessions, starting in October 2012.
