2018年に東京で結成されたドリームポップ~シューゲイズ・バンド、Moon In June。
2020年発表の1st EP「海鳴り」はシューゲイザーやポストロックを下地にした、光と音の洪水のようなサウンドで国内の専門店を中心に話題となり、さらに海外のシューゲイズ・ギークからも絶賛されました。
そして、メンバー・チェンジを経て約2年振りに発表されたのがこの2nd EPで、Pains Of Being Pure At Heartのような微炭酸シューゲイザー、スピッツやGalileo Galileiからの影響を感じさせる甘酸っぱいポップ・チューンなど、前作からドラスティックな変貌を遂げた全6曲を収録!
タイトル名とジャケットのイメージからも伝わってくるように、フレッシュさと淡さを携えた<エヴァーグリーン>な作品です。

LCL Progressive/Alternative Soundtrack contains music composed and performed by the pillows. This LP includes 14 tracks pressed on a pair of splattered yellow vinyl housed in a gatefold jacket featuring artwork of the Medical Mechanica irons. FLCL Progressive and FLCL Alternative are the sequel series to the cult anime classic FLCL. First released in 2000, the original FLCL was a coming of age story set in the fictional Japanese city of Mabase, and revolved around an alien detective, Haruko, who seeks the space pirate king. FLCL Progressive and FLCL Alternative pick up many years later, continuing to follow Haruko as she careens through the lives of young people in Mabase in her ongoing hunt. Produced by the studios Production I.G. and GAINAX, the FLCL series have become beloved outside of Japan for their unique animation style, robust action sequences, offbeat style, and unforgettable soundtracks. The music to FLCL Progressive and FLCL Alternative was composed and performed by the Japanese alternative rock band the pillows.

In the beginning, Mono combined the ugly washes of noise pioneered by My Bloody Valentine with the beautiful, subtle guitar figures of Slint and Mogwai. Eventually, their classical influences broke through, pushing the music to structural and emotional extremes that owed as much to Wagner and Beethoven as it did Black Sabbath and Neurosis. This release contains all of Mono's rare and out of print tracks, perfectly displaying their astounding growth. All tracks have been re-mastered from their original tapes, with both CD and triple vinyl formats boasting absurdly beautiful deluxe packaging.
