2022 CULT MOVIE CHALLENGE WEEK 5: KAREN BLACK WEEK I'm not really sure that the last 15 minutes are wholly earned by the preceding 2 hours and change, but it's certainly one of the strangest payoffs that I've ever seen to a film like this, like if SINGIN' IN THE RAIN turned into Picasso's "Guernica." This would make an interesting (if extremely long) double feature with MULHOLLAND DRIVE, as off-kilter explorations of psychosexual obsession against the backdrop of the entertainment industry go.
