a review of 阴阳镜

MANNVANUARY DEUX #5: This one was interesting structurally, starting off with Thomas Mitchell (playing a character light-years different from Uncle Billy) as a quick-witted detective trying to untangle the mystery of the twins played by Olivia de Havilland, and transitioning into a psychological noir as Lew Ayres romances the sisters. There's themes here that remind me of Cronenberg's DEAD RINGERS, and I'm impressed with de Havilland's dual performance and the excellent use of split-screen effects to pull it off visually.
