a review of 尸骨无存2

HOOPTOBER ORIGINS 2.0 NIGHT TWENTY-FIVE: Apparently this one was extensively tampered with by the producers, so I won't hold the final product against Ti West in this case. Although Eli Roth's original film (another movie I'm not particularly fond of!) has strong horror-comedy elements, this one goes all the way by turning the premise into a straight up teen sex comedy in the American Pie mold. The only problem is that the script (or at least the version of it that ended up on screen) is both paralyzingly unfunny and unscary. You can see faint bits and pieces of what West might have wanted to do with this one, but all in all it barely holds together.
