a review of 活尸的城堡

𝖍𝖔𝖔𝖕𝖙𝖔𝖇𝖊𝖗 𝖝 𝖓𝖎𝖌𝖍𝖙 𝖘𝖎𝖝: I found this one to be a little slow-going for the first few stories (with frankly kind of interchangeable protagonists with the same bad mid-60s haircuts) and the movie only really came to life for me in the last two segments. The former features Christopher Lee as a snooty art critic being menaced by the disembodied hand of his painter nemesis (Michael Gough), and the latter story has a pre-fame Donald Sutherland as a man who becomes convinced that his wife is a vampire. Both of these sections were a lot of fun and had a good sense of humor/irony, and I almost wish they had been placed just a little earlier in the film to break up the less-interesting first hour.
