𝖍𝖔𝖔𝖕𝖙𝖔𝖇𝖊𝖗 𝖝 𝖓𝖎𝖌𝖍𝖙 𝖙𝖜𝖊𝖓𝖙𝖞-𝖘𝖊𝖛𝖊𝖓: I fully regret taking over 20 years to finally check this one out. It's utterly disposable in terms of the story, which is basically just hyperbolic Dragon Ball Z-level nonsense. More importantly the movie raises the idea of going out into the woods with your friends and making your own crazy action-horror movie to maybe the highest possible level of filmmaking. Every scene is basically just an excuse to show live-action characters doing impossible anime-type stunts and fighting on what seems to be the shoestringiest of shoestring budgets, and it's fully self-aware of how ridiculous it is, which makes it extremely charming even if it's fairly repetitive in its overall rhythms.
